This role is part of LABGISTICS Asia Pte Ltd's (LABG) Business Development Department under the Commercial Division. The jobholder will lead the Business Development department and is responsible for market expansion for the company. He / She will also work with internal departments to build a strong team in driving and delivering the company’s strategic and operational goals. Successful candidate will report to General Manager of LABG.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Identify and maximize new business development opportunities in providing a one-stop outsourced services (marketing, warehousing, distribution etc.)
- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
- Optimize the efficiency of the overall expansion planning process with initiative work plans, meeting requirements, resource planning etc.
- Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives.
- Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing business relationships.
- Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners.
- Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; and integrating contract requirements with business operations.
- Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines.
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
- Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
- Conceptualize, plan and execute appropriate marketing activities according to strategic goals.
- In-charge of the overall expenses and profitability of the segment
- Research on market and industry trends
- Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Explores opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Lead meetings and negotiations with potential clients and business partners to pursue business opportunities and protect the organisation’s business interests.
- Lead in completion and submission of RFQ/RFI.
- Establish long-term professional relationships with potential clients, customers, and partners (for example in government or industry associations) to promote the Company’s image, products and services.
- Manage complex, large, or difficult market research or analysis projects; evaluate findings, prepare reports, and make recommendations to senior management about the viability of alternative opportunities.
- Any special projects and/or other assignments as delegated
Requirements
- Bachelor of Business Management and/or live sciences education
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Rx, Medical Devices and or OTC/Consumer Health marketing or sales
- Driven personality with a hunger to succeed.
- Prior exposure to similar industry in Business Development
- Market research experience
- Business Development and Account management experience
- Fast learning abilities, to be able quickly understand the drug/medical devices benefits and its market environment.
- Active in pitching, engaging, and searching new Principal/Clients
- Advanced command of Excel and PowerPoint
- Able to adapt into the fast-paced industry.
