As a Engineer, GSBM (Procurement), you will:

To manage and support Venture’s global sites and R&D on EE (Electronics & Electrical) alternate sourcing. To manage and support Venture’s global sites on Regulatory Compliance (Conflict Minerals, ROHS & REACH).

• Follow up and involve supplier on design, technology, quickturn and FA support for R&D and customers’ NPI projects.
• Develop supplier profiles on technical capability, costs structure and technology roadmap.
• Conduct vendor qualification and plant audits.
• Responsible for meeting cost and delivery targets.
• Provision of low cost alternatives to R&D and customers.
• Provide RFQ support to R&D and manufacturing.
• Manage and review suppliers’ performance based on quality, delivery performance, cost and allocation.
• Keep abreast of manufacturing technology updates, industrial benchmark and do cost competitve studies.
• Forecast global commodity requirements.
• Develop commodity strategies and a preferred world-class supplier base.

What skills and experiences are we looking for?

• Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
• 3 years of working experience in Electronics & Electrical component qualification.

• Some knowledge of Conflict Minerals Declaration, ROHS and REACH Compliance.
• Knowledge of SAP and MS Office is an added advantage.
• Ability to read and analyse Electronics and Electrical component datasheets.

• Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred, as the role involves liaising with suppliers in China who primarily communicate in Mandarin.
