Job Scope:

• Evaluate market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities and risks.
• Work closely with the marketing team to synchronize merchandising efforts with promotional campaigns.
• Manage the maintenance of product item attributes categorization.
• Conduct weekly analysis of product sell-through and generate required monthly data reports.
• Provide merchandising support and collaborate cross-functionally on key projects.
• Take responsibility for sales performance, pricing, inventory, buying, allocation, grouping, and markdowns.
• Coordinate launch plans and liaise with the Logistics Department to ensure smooth delivery.
• Collaborate with Visual Merchandising to establish in-store display guidelines.
• Offer leadership and guidance to the merchandising team.
• Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Efficiently report weekly action plans to the Department Head.

Job Description

• Business partnership with BU, operations, and supply chain related to inventory and manufacturing cost management.
• Analysis of cost accounting data and assistance with physical inventory processes.
• Involved in month-end closing, including journal entries and analysis of inventory-related items.
• Detailed account analysis and reconciliation of sales, deferred sales, cost of sales, and other inventory-related accounts.
• Monthly and quarterly gross margin analysis on related business and product
• Review and analysis of fixed and variable cost reports, including commentary on cost behaviours.
• Coordination with Operations for presentation slides and preparation of Finance's slides for manufacturing cost review meetings.
• Conducting annual physical inventory counts, quarterly E&O reviews, and bi-annual standard cost revaluation exercises.
• Ensure internal control documentation and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 is up to date.

The Successful Applicant

• A degree in accounting / professional qualification (eg CPA, ACCA) or its equivalent.
• At least 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience.
• Tech Savvy, good familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle / COGNOS and Microsoft Office applications eg Excel/Word/PowerPoint will be beneficial
• Ability to work independently
• Able to communicate and work in a team effectively.
• A hands-on individual with good time management, analytical mindset and problem-solving skill

• Hands on experience in LINUX - Fedora, Ubuntu, Samba, and ACL.
• Familiar with Windows Server 2016 /2012 (R2) /2008 (R2), VMware vSphere 6.x/5.x
