MSE seeks to aggressively develop and commercialize technologies based on a NRF/CRP-funded project: Directed Energy Materials for Advanced Manufacturing. This technology aims to deploy induction technology for the manufacturing of sustainable composites, plastics etc. in industrial sectors such as automotive, sports, and green energy.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop the chemistry, physics, applications, and deployment of bare and coated magnetic particles for directed energy applications.
• Develop induction systems for deployment of the particles in applications
• Synthesis, characterization and property evaluation of magnetic materials and polymers.
