The Associate / Research Coordinator shall assist the Principal Investigator with collection of clinical data and data management for lymphoma research. They will also help implement and coordinate research projects and its activities. These activities may include screening, recruitment, incident event reporting, data entry, biological specimen collection and processing, maintenance of site files and research participants’ follow up.

Your responsibilites will include:

- Coordinate with Principal Investigator, patients, and relevant departments to help ensure that clinical research and related activities are performed in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, protocols, and regulatory compliances.

- Review and develop a familiarity with the study proceedings and timelines, inclusion / exclusion criteria, confidentiality, privacy protections to reduce screen failure of patients.

- Handle all initial and follow up communications between patients, healthcare professionals, clinical trial industry sponsors and PI/Co-Investigators. Assist in communications with DSRB/IRB staff regarding study-related ethics applications, amendments, and status reports.

- Develop the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential risks or non-compliance. Ensure all near-misses and protocol deviations are reported in a timely manner.

- Adherence to the IRB by ensuring site compliance with research protocols by reviewing all regulatory requirements to confirm implementation of appropriate methods, practices, and procedures for all research activities.

- Assist the Principal Investigator in submission of accurate and timely closeout documents. Coordinates appropriate and timely payments to participants (if applicable).

The Laboratory of Applied Human Genetics at the National Cancer Centre Singapore is a multi-disciplinary laboratory with specific focus on peritoneal malignancies and sarcoma. The direction of our laboratory is to solve real world clinical problems via sound scientific translation. Since the conception of our laboratory 7 years ago, we have now set up three scientific pillars of Therapeutics, Companion Diagnostic and CAPTIVATE (Target Generation) pipeline. Currently, we are working towards a first-in-human therapeutic developed in our laboratory. We are looking for an innovative, enthusiastic and highly motivated Research Fellow to work with a team of researchers in the area of cancer therapy for advanced metastatic cancers. The National University Health System Virtual Care Centre (NUHS VCC) is an initiative where trained personnel provides tele-triage to patients and/or their caregivers. VCC will either provide advice and resolve the clinical question or escalate to the VCC clinician where appropriate. As a research fellow, the position holder will be in charge of setting and running an evaluation for Virtual Care Centre (VCC) in National University Health System. This is a 3-year funded study with opportunities for publications.

In addition, administrative work which may be related to research or general work will also be needed for this position. The staff will have opportunities to help in the administration of VCC but also as per directions of the Project Lead.

• Assist the investigators to recruit, screen and follow-up on participants of the study, in strict adherence to the study protocol, Singapore Good Clinical Practice Guidelines and other applicable regulatory and ethical requirements
• Perform study procedures on research participants (consent taking, paperwork, ocular imaging-related tests, etc.)
• Perform digital general imaging, digital fundus imaging, digital optical coherent tomography scans and anterior segment/slit-lamp imaging and to carry out required tests on research participants
• Handle entry and validation of study data, extraction of relevant information from medical records, reporting of adverse events, maintenance of investigator files and other essential documentation
• Coordinate scheduling and conduct of clinic visits/tests for research participants, as well as related finances and logistics
• Keep inventory of digital imaging supplies
• Manage the implementation and coordination of the clinical studies under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI)

Research Fellow position is immediately available at the Hematopoietic Stem Cell Laboratory located at National Cancer Centre Singapore. The Hematopoietic Stem Cell Laboratory laboratory under Prof William Hwang is looking to for RF who can bring the skillset to the hematopoietic stem cell expansion platform.

Education Qualifications:

- PhD with minimum 2 years of relevant experience with specialisation in stem cell culture.

- Good oral and written English.

Relevant Experence:

- Perform induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) and/ or mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) culture.

- Experience with induced pluripotent stem cells is a plus.

The Senior Research Office/ Research Officer will oversee the progress of research studies under the Program for Nasopharyngeal Cancer with the supervision of the Principal investigator Dr Darren Lim. You will perform a variety of research activities which include planning and execution of experiments for biomarker discovery, novel diagnostics methods and drug development for Nasopharyngeal Cancer.

Your main duties will include:

1. Tissue Logistics:

- Tracking of biological samples received in the lab pertaining to the study

- Collection of patient samples (FFPE, Tissue, WBC, DNA or RNA) from Pathology

- DNA/RNA extraction from frozen tissue or FFPE

- Submission of DNA/RNA samples to external sequencing partner

2. Cell culture and Molecular assays:

- Generation of cell line and/or organoids from tissue collected for the study

- Maintenance of cell lines and/or organoids in culture

- Perform molecular assays on tissue samples /cell lines/ organoids

3. Perform tasks and support all aspects of the research project:

- Performing literature reviews when required

- Plan and execute experiments for the assigned studies
