The MVAIT lab at Nanyang Technological University conducts high quality research on AI for medicine. These projects include the development of AI and software tools for the analysis of different types of medical data, such as omics, cell and medical imaging data. The objective is to enhance clinical efficiency and introduce affordable and effective biomedical technology to the society.

The role of the Research Associate includes conducting research on medical imaging data processing, 3D reconstruction, and AI algorithms with surgical robotics. The RA will not only design and implement state-of-the-art algorithms but will also be actively involved in the development and refinement of AI tools tailored for diverse medical domains. These endeavors aim to bridge the gap between advanced computational solutions and practical medical applications. The tools and solutions developed by the RA will be meticulously adapted to help the clinicians, radiologists, and biologists, facilitating them in their daily tasks and pioneering research. The RA will be involved in projects which aims to harness technology for the enhancement of patient outcomes and clinical efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement AI algorithms to analyze medical datasets, including MR, CT, X-ray and microscopy data.
• Conduct research on high-precision medical analysis and data interpretation.
• Develop, test, and refine AI tools for different medical domains, ensuring the efficiency of the tools in real-world medical settings.
• Design dashboards or visualization tools to incorporate the implemented AI algorithms, and utilize VR/AR equipment and 3D visualization to enhance the understanding for clinicians, as well as facilitate in the training of students.
• Collaborate with external researchers and interdisciplinary teams, including radiologists, surgeons, and roboticists, to ensure the project practicality and clinical relevance.
• Assist in developing AI-assisted robotic solutions for surgical procedures, including pre-operative planning and intra-operative guidance.
• Analyze and interpret the data outcomes from the AI models and the medical procedures to provide critical insights and suggestion for improvements.
• Be aligned and updated with the latest advancements in medical imaging, image processing, and robotics to ensure that the research conducted is at the forefront of the field.
• Collaborate with external researchers to conduct research on AI and ML on medical datasets.
• Publish articles in high quality journals, ensuring that the research are recognized and accessible to the broader scientific community.
• Participate in the drafting of research projects to secure projects and contribute to the strategic research direction of the lab.
• Ensure that research activities adhere to ethical guidelines and patient data privacy regulations.

Requirements:

• Trained (Masters for Research Associate) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Artificial intelligence, or associated programs.

• Strong experience in deep learning, AI, computer vision, machine learning, medical image analysis, healthcare.

• Expert knowledge of Python, C++, Pytorch, Tensorflow, etc.

• Experience in the analysis of medical imaging dataset.

• Experience in medical software implementation is a plus.

• Good ability in communicating data science models to non-data science audience using simple language.

• Existing Publications in top-tier AI or computer vision journals/conferences, such as TMI, MIA, MICCAI, NeuIPS, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, AAAI, IJCAI, etc, are preferred.

• Strong motivation in state-of-the-art research and publication.

1. Quality Management Systems (QMS):

• Assist in implementing, and maintaining QMS processes in alignment with ISO standards relevant to MAN Energy Solutions' products and services.
• Support the development, review, and update of quality documentation, including policies, procedures, work instructions, and manuals specific to MAN Energy Solutions' operations.

2. Quality Assurance:

• Participate in establishing and ensuring adherence to quality assurance processes to guarantee compliance of MAN Energy Solutions' products and services with industry specifications, standards, and customer requirements.
• Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address identified quality issues promptly and effectively.

3.Quality Control:

• Help develop, refine, and implement quality control procedures tailored to monitor and evaluate the quality of MAN Energy Solutions' products throughout the production process.
• Reviewing blueprints and specification to compare to produced goods.
• Recording inspection results by completing reports and submit to customer timely. Summarizing re-works and wastes and inputting data into quality database.
• Monitoring the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and discard any that do not meet requirements.
• Support in conducting inspections, tests, and measurements to verify product conformity and adherence to MAN Energy Solutions' rigorous specifications and standards.
• Collaborate on the analysis of quality data and metrics to identify trends, deviations, and opportunities for continuous improvement in MAN Energy Solutions' manufacturing processes.

4. Regulatory Compliance:

• Stay updated on relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards applicable to MAN Energy Solutions' products and services.

5 .Training and Development:

6. Supplier Quality Management:

*Night Shift

Roles and Responsibility

• To perform 12hrs shift duties at any deployed sites
• To perform safe entry for staffs, workers, visitors and contractors
• To safe guard the premises through surveillance and patrols
• Identify and report unusual or suspicious movements in occurrence
• Perform access control duties at the check-point
• To monitor CCTV surveillance when required
• To update and report any fire alarm activation

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• ‘N’ Level or ‘O’ Level
• 1 year working experience

Work safely in accordance with HSE regulations and policies

• Coordinate, supervise and perform building facility maintenance and rectification

• Facilitate interface with suppliers and term contractors for regular and ad-hoc maintenance activities

• Conduct routine checks including air-conditioning system, electrical, fire protection, plumbing system, etc. to ensure they are operating correctly

• Identify potential issue and highlight to supervisor/manager proactively

• Respond to users’ requests and alarms and report any fault to the supervisor

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for building facilities and services including plumbing systems

• Conducting the necessary mitigations in order to make safe, isolate fault and resume operation

• Troubleshoot and rectify minor maintenance issues (bulb replacement, plumbing and part replacement)

Job Requirements

• Nitec / Higher Nitec / in Building / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent;

• Possess technical knowledge of general building systems

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as Building Technician or similar capacity

• Able to converse well in English and a 2nd language

• Familiarity with building maintenance practices and safety procedures is preferred;

• Organised and have good interpersonal skills.

1. The Workplace Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer shall assist the Safety Manager for the development and implementation of HSE strategies, procedures, training, monitoring and reporting.

2. Ensure overall project safety, environmental & quality plan(s) are properly implementing.

3. Carry out site inspections, liaise with the person in charge of the works and superintendents to see that safe methods of work are in operation, and that all statutory/government regulations and the consortium’s rules are being observed;

4. Review method statements in related to risk assessments

5. Review the overall safety performance of subcontractors and analyse information on injuries and damage to identify any particular hazard or trend.

6. Conduct safety training for all levels of employee & keep records of such training.

7. Promote safety to all levels of employee by holding safety promotion activities, safety campaigns.

8. Identify and continually review project management staff’s training needs and ensure records of all trained personnel are properly kept in the site offices.

9. Arrange for site staff to attend health & safety training

10. Arrange regular meetings to review any H&S issues regarding authority applications, complaints, noise issues, management system and on-site performance on their projects;

11. Keep up-to-date with recommended codes of practice and new safety literature and circulate information applicable to all levels of employee;

12. Conduct / arrange audits in accordance with the requirements of the safety plan.

13. Be familiar with the emergency procedures and set a good personal example.

Job Requirement:

1. The HSE Officer shall be full-time in office and at site (onboard vessels) upon commencement of any works on site.
