Job Purpose

The main job responsibility for this position is the accurate and efficient registration and administration of tests orders and ensure test reports are sent to clients within set turn around time.

Responsibilities

[What the role is]

The Centre for Climate Research Singapore (CCRS) is a division of the Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS). At CCRS, our mission is to advance scientific understanding of tropical climate variability and change and its associated weather systems affecting Singapore and the wider Southeast Asia region, so that the knowledge and expertise can benefit decision makers and the community. Our vision is to be a world leading centre in tropical climate and weather research focussing on the Southeast Asia region.

Within CCRS, the Department for Weather Research (DWR) is responsible for the research and, development of core seamless modelling systems for both weather and climate applications in Singapore and Southeast Asian region, and transition to operations of local numerical weather prediction (NWP), marine and haze/air quality forecasting with lead times up to a week ahead. The DWR works closely with CCRS’s Department of Climate Research (DCR) and High Performance Computing (HPC) Branch, MSS forecasters, local universities, and a number of international organisations including the UK Met Office, Australian Bureau of Meteorology, and US National Centre for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). Since 2021, CCRS has been a core member of the international Unified Model (UM) partnership.

The Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) Branch sits within DWR. The NWP branch is responsible for developing and improving nowcasting and local (km-scale and below) NWP systems, and translating the outputs into customised products for supporting MSS weather services and other stakeholders. The branch also works closely with local agencies, institutes of higher learning and UM partners to share research outcomes and deliver improved forecast products for the region.

Data assimilation (DA) is a form of data science that combines observations and model output to provide an analysis of the state of a system at a particular time. Within the NWP Branch of CCRS, DA is a key R&D area used to initialise NWP forecasts through the assimilation of a wide range of space- and ground-based observations.

[What you will be working on]

• Keeping abreast of the latest research directions in data assimilation for NWP.
• Developing and testing the assimilation of select new observation types in operational numerical weather prediction systems.
• Exploring advanced data assimilation algorithms, especially those leveraging ensemble NWP systems, and machine learning techniques.
• Working in collaboration with CCRS’ local and international strategic partners to leverage DA research and development in the wider community within CCRS’ DA capabilities.
• Publishing research outcomes in peer-reviewed publications and presenting findings at international meetings.

[What we are looking for]

• Masters or PhD degree (or equivalent) in meteorology, data science, mathematics or a related field.
• At least 3 years research experience in developing and/or applying advanced data analytics in weather research projects.

The Chief Marketing Officer for StorHub will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development and execution of our marketing and advertising initiatives. This role plays a vital role as StorHub's growth driver and has important responsibilities ranging from creative influence to business strategy. Along with building our marketing capability into global best practice as a catalyst for innovation, StorHub’s CMO will also be a compelling storyteller for our brand. This individual needs to be an emotionally intelligent leader with the ability to build, develop and scale a world class marketing team.

Reports To: Group Chief Operating Officer.

Responsibilities:

• Setting the goals and objectives for the marketing department of the company
• Planning and execution of the marketing strategy of the company
• Determining the KPIs and the OKRs of the marketing department
• Plan the annual and quarterly marketing budget the of the company and ensure optimal usage of the budget
• Leading market research to conduct regular research on key metrics and find insights to increase customer outreach
• Work closely with sales and customer success teams to maximise customer acquisition
• Align the marketing plans of the company across the region with other internal teams
• Periodic data collection and analysis in order to make various decisions and evaluation of past plans
• Upgrading technology as and when required
• Design, plan and implement marketing campaigns
• Build strong relationships with strategic partners
• Build the company’s PR and choose the optimal modes of communication
• Identification of trends and insights for the digital marketing campaigns and optimal spending on the insights
• Build and develop the marketing team

Key Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital technologies, technology or other related fields
• A masters in degree in marketing or management would be a plus
• 10+ years of experience as a marketing professional including as a CMO or senior marketing personnel with excellent marketing campaign results
• Hands on experience in developing and implementing digital and non digital marketing strategies
• Leadership skills in a constantly evolving environment
• Past experience operating SEO, CRM software, Google Analytics, etc. and understanding other marketing techniques
• Detail oriented work style with good time management and organizational skills
• Knowledge of various analytics platforms

Job Overview

In this role, you will develop new, innovative solutions to problems plaguing the seismic imaging field. You will use knowledge of signal processing, wave propagation, and numerical optimization to develop and test high-end algorithms, sequences, or programs with predefined geophysical or engineering content.

You will participate in the validation of your contributions with senior Research staff and Production staff by analyzing and evaluating processing and imaging results on synthetic and field data. You may work independently or as part of team, but always in close collaboration with Imaging Geophysicist, remaining in-tune with production demands and industry trends.

You will also work closely with Software Engineers on the development, deployment, and improvement of high-performance computing applications on GPU and CPU architectures based on new imaging techniques and technological advances. You may be asked to present your work and results to colleagues and clients, as well as externally at conferences and workshops, and to prepare technical articles for industry proceedings and journals.

Required Qualification & Experience

• Ph.D. or Master’s in Geophysics, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or other related technical discipline
• Capable of abstracting geophysical concepts with mathematical languages
• Excellent coding skills with FORTRAN and/or C/C++
• Knowledge of high-performance computing is preferred (MPI, multi-threading, GPU, etc.)
• Knowledge of geophysics and seismic imaging preferred, but not essential
• Experience with cross-platform development preferred, but not essential

Job Description

• Handle all walk-ins, phone and online enquiries in a professional and customer-oriented manner

• Handle registration, student movements (transfers / withdrawals) and payment collection in accordance with the centre's SOPs

• Actively promote and upsell programmes to both prospective and existing customers

• Attend to customers' needs and enquiries in a prompt and service-oriented manner

• Maintain an updated record of customer interactions, including inquiries, feedback and complaints

• Escalate unresolved customers' feedbacks and grievances promptly to the Centre Manager or Management

• Provide support and assistance to teachers and students whenever required

• Maintain a strong communication link between teachers and parents to ensure a seamless client experience
