Overview

The Commercial Executive (CE) in SMC, is a sales professional who helps customers reach value-based commercial deal that aligns to their business priorities and Microsoft commercial strategy within the region.

The CE is a trusted advisor who leads the design and execution of commercial strategy and ensuring every deal is compliant and profitable for Microsoft; proactively seeks out transformative upsell /cross-sell growth opportunities and mentor peers on how best to monetize those opportunities for maximum revenue.

As a Commercial Executive, you will primarily be supporting the Small and Medium Corporate (SMC) segment. You will coach sellers and business stakeholders on commercial strategy in order to achieve revenue targets; help secure and deploy critical resources (e.g Desk Desk, Sales Support, Partners or Finance) to drive business outcomes; lead internal sales and management team through the sales process optimizing for the right level of investment and customization; Champion compliant deal making that will build trust with Customer. Responsibilities

The Commercial Executive will be responsible for the following: 

Deal Making
Lead internal and external sales and management teams through commercial construct optimizing for the right level of investment and customization. Optimize deal customization leveraging price and non-price concessions. Identify business opportunities which vary based on deal lifecycle and artificial intelligence (AI). Take relevant steps to make sure deal execution is successful.

Negotiation
Define, negotiate complex commercial terms and lead the strategy for the negotiation approach by engaging with stakeholders.

Ensures adherence to commercial solutions policy for commercial deal execution, inclusive of regulatory laws and principles in local markets, company policies, and guidance for consistent deal making.

Collaboration
Develop trusted relationships with key customer stakeholders, partners, Account Team in order to help our customers deliver their business goals and achieve Microsoft revenue targets.

You foster alignment across teams, particularly regarding aligning Microsoft portfolio and customer business outcomes. You lead and coach customer support/account teams to ensure that value is delivered during lifecycle management planning and that all teams are aligned on customer priorities, strategies, and budget to maximize annuity and cloud growth. You coach others to design deals that enable the company to accelerate the business and ensure compliance is embedded in the deal-making process. You leverage your understanding of liability to evaluate and recommend risk tolerance strategies, and coach others to apply proven sales methodologies.

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Marketing (or equivalent) AND 7+ years of sales and negotiation experience or related work
