The Senior Director, Strategy, Business Planning and Operations of the AP Marketing group will be responsible for business and workforce planning, strategy development and execution, budget management, management and control of the strategic project portfolio, provision of business support to markets, including enhancing business processes to maximize internal and in-market performance.

This role is a key member of the AP Marketing leadership team, working closely with both hub and in market leads to facilitate planning, strategy and reporting activities.  This role is the key liaison between global Marketing & strategy function and the region, as well as a key member of the regional BPO network.  This role requires a strong commercial, financial and strategic mindset to ensure its successful delivery, and involves working closely with the various functional teams including Client Relationship Managers, Strategy, Product, Merchant Sales & Solutions and subject matter experts across the organization in the AP Region.

This role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer of Asia Pacific region.

Responsibilities

Business / Strategy

- Lead the AP Marketing group in business planning, strategy development, drive
effective leadership and operations through management of key business
processes

• Facilitate AP Marketing financial targets / goals, analyze portfolio performance and
  recommend changes to achieve goals as necessary
• Manage and drive key strategic projects, which typically require cross-functional collaboration
  from initiation to execution, ensuring alignment with organization, business
  and market priorities
• Enhance the effectiveness of the AP Marketing team by pursuing initiatives
  and process enhancements identified during annual planning sessions,
  performance audits, quarterly and monthly business reviews and issue-drive
  roadmaps
• Provide ad-hoc analysis and decision support as necessary
  
  Planning / Operational
   
• Elevate FBR / QBR outputs, data points and materials for AP Marketing team and
  provide ongoing monitoring and actions relating to QBRs / MYPs / Country
  Acceleration Plans. Ensure focus on important variances, trends and issues
• Oversee the Annual Operating Plan and annual OKR / goal setting process ensuring that market goals are aligned with AP Marketing strategy
• Develop an effective tracking mechanism that monitors progress towards the agreed targets and
  objectives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and generate regular AP
  Marketing dashboards, provide support in preparation of presentation materials
  for business review, management events and conferences
• Continue to review, enhance business process to drive greater efficiency and share best practices within AP Marketing markets
• Manage multi-year planning across AP Marketing
• Collaborate with Finance Business Partner to drive quarterly forecasting and
  annual operating plan

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or any other equivalent qualification

• Minimum of 1-3 years’ sales experience in events, catering, hotels or related industries.
• Proven track record in catering sales or sales related field.

3. Monitor market share, gather market and competitive information

• Ensure Subsidiaries and their sales team are well-trained in product and application knowledge to make sales calls, sales proposals and presentation, independently.
• Time-to-time, he should make joint visits to Subsidiaries to review their business development and sales progress, carry out joint-sales customer visits and gather market and competitive information.
• This individual is to share and discuss with the Subsidiaries on what he thinks, sees and observes in their market place to set up action plans to gain access to the customers’ inner circle to promote and sell T&L products and services that will give customers good benefits.

Roles (3): New product development:

• Search and conduct market surveys for new business opportunities/products
