The Job

As Tax Manager, you will support the Head of Tax in managing all tax aspects in Asia related to Novo Holdings investment activities, as well as the tax aspects of new strategic initiatives and corporate structure for the Novo Nordisk Foundation. You will:

What the role is

The Hawker Centres Group (HCG) of NEA plays a lead role in managing and enhancing our hawker centres, so that they continue to be places where people from all walks of life can enjoy affordable food in a clean and hygienic environment. HCG also reviews and implements hawker-related policies that benefit both hawkers and the public. As a Asst Mgr/ Manager (Operations and Engagement) in HCG, you will be carrying out the following duties:

What you will be working on

1. Tenancy Management

• End-to-end management of stall tenancies, from ensuring stalls are in tenantable condition, onboarding of new stallholders to processing applications of transfers, assignments, joint operators and termination as well as appeals for rental waivers, rebates and remissions etc.

• Conducting tenancy inspections and enforcements to ensure compliance to relevant statutory and tenancy requirements.

Position Overview:

Finance manager role at Group level. This role provides a guided leadership experience within the HQ finance team and across different finance teams across markets and has a significant contribution to the reporting processes of the Group.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the consolidation team to complete monthly and annual group financial consolidation.
• Assist/advise consolidation team on consolidation adjusting entries for different consolidation scenarios (intercompany elimination, business combinations, changes in shareholding, internal restructuring, etc).
• Take the lead on the annual audit process for consolidated group/sub-group financial statements and be the key liaison point with external auditors.
• Perform PL & BS analysis on consolidated group/sub-group financials.
• Prepare management reports required by management and lenders.
• Support the annual budgeting process.
• Act as finance partner and managing outsourced service providers.
• Supervise the daily tasks of the consolidation team members.
• Review and implement new policies and processes to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and all other necessary requirements.
• Co-ordinate and liaise with tax agents for tax submissions.
• Perform administrative and other ad-hoc duties, including liaising with corporate secretary, issuance of share capital, filing of XBRL, etc.
• Support ad-hoc projects (e.g., system implementation, mergers and acquisitions).

Key Requirements:

• Strong technical knowledge, well versed in IFRS
• Strong work ethics and leadership skills with ability to lead team to deliver on schedule.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask and work under pressure.
• Ability to partner with stakeholders and teams from other countries.
• Degree in Finance/Accounting/Banking, ACCA, CPA or equivalent.
• Experience in real estate industry highly advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years in group consolidation and financial reporting role.
• Minimum 2-3 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in using Netsuite by Oracle advantageous.
• Proficiency in some Asian languages (e.g. Mandarin, Japanese, Korean) to communicate with our overseas business units representatives will be advantageous but not mandatory.

• Min NITEC with 2 years of supervisory working experience in F&B/Retail or hospitality industry.
• Diligent team player passionate in F&B operation
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Able to multi task in fast pace environment
• Those with no experience will be considered for trainee manager position
