Introduction

ETH Zurich is one of the leading universities of the world with a strong focus on science and engineering. In 2010 it established the Singapore-ETH Centre (SEC) in collaboration with the National Research Foundation (NRF) to do interdisciplinary research on pressing problems.

In collaboration with the National University of Singapore (NUS), the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Duke - NUS, the National Health Group (NHG), National University Health System (NUHS), and SingHealth, SEC is undertaking a research programme on "Future Health Technologies (FHT)". It addresses pressing health challenges by developing a Connected Rehabilitation and Assistive Technologies Concept that tackles the increase in patients suffering from chronic diseases such as stroke, as a consequence of a rapidly ageing population, covering the value chain from acute care to patient's private homes. Within this framework we are announcing the following job opening.

Project background

The Connected Rehabilitation and Assistive Technologies Module (Module 3) will develop enabling technologies that provide minimally supervised high-quality interventions via a “rehab gym” equipped with clinical intelligence. Available technologies will include new robotic devices and brain-computer interfaces that are tailored to the individual patient’s needs, linking unobtrusive technical assessments via multiple sensors with interventions in real or virtual environments.

Module 3 will develop and validate new tools for quantifying short-term and long-term rehabilitation outcomes (i.e. via specifically designed wearables, instrumented objects and automated assessments, which potentially interact with an FHT App) (Project 1), delivering rehabilitation training at all stages of the rehabilitation process and in a minimally supervised manner (i.e. via new therapy modalities using brain-machine interfaces and virtual reality (Project 2) as well as mobile and wearable rehabilitation robotics (Project 3)) and providing assistance in permanently impaired patients (i.e. via new wearable assistive robotics) (Project 4). We will, for the first time, develop and evaluate a technology-supported therapy and assistance concept for the upper extremity which spans across the continuum of care, i.e. extending from application at the bedside, to rehabilitation services provided by community centres and finally to patients’ homes. The collected data from devices across all projects will enable the identification of biomarkers for predicting recovery and treatment response, development of a personalised long-term care concept for stroke patients and estimation of social and economic long-term outcomes (i.e. value estimation).

Task/Job description

We are looking for exceptional candidates with demonstrated technological and translational research experience in rehabilitation industry. While working and collaborating directly with our industrial partner, the main task is to support the development and translation of R&D knowledge into rehabilitation solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Review R&D outcomes on future rehabilitation technology and work with our industrial partner on the planning as well as the execution of the transformation into products and solutions.
• Collaborate with our industrial partner’s technical team to realize R&D goals for future rehabilitation solutions.
• Plan, execute, and monitor projects’ deliverables and milestones.
• Ensure smooth coordination of the technical deliverables between SEC and our industrial partner.

Requirements

This position requires:

• Minimum a Master’s degree in Robotics or a related field. Remuneration shall commensurate with the qualification.
• Direct industrial experience in the development of rehabilitation devices, including hardware and software, complying with ISO 13485 as well as IEC 60601.
• Experience in leading cross-functional medical product development teams (including software and hardware teams) – preferably rehabilitation robotics.
• Research exposure in biomechanical, biomedical, or related fields.
• Previous experience in working and or coordinating with research institutions and/or publications experience.
• Excellent management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Jobs scope:

• Monitor ship schedules before arrival and discharge at port.
• Keep charterers and owners advised on requirements pertaining to the fixtures such as voyage order, stowage, cargo quantity and cargo grades.
• Ensure relevant documents are available at various stages of operations.
• Serve the relevant delivery and re-delivery notices for ships.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Network and Security Management

• Maintaining and administering computer networks in PRD and DR sites
• Manage network devices: Core Switch, Router, Firewall, Network Monitoring System, Wireless, Remote Access
• Configuration, installation, maintenance and life cycles planning of various network devices and services
• Monitoring network performance and ensuring reliability and availability

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant IT related discipline
• Minimum 5 years working experience with 1-2 years’ experience in a banking and financial services
• Familiar with MAS Notice 655(Cyber Hygiene Practices) would be a plus
• Experience with routers, switches and firewall, i.e. Cisco, Huawei, Palo Alto, and Checkpoint etc

The responsibilities of this role are:

• Develop, review and update EHS policies and related documents in the safety management system. Formulate and administer comprehensive Risk Management and review safe work procedures.
• Enforce safety rules & regulations to ensure a good and safe work environment. Conduct regular safety inspections, recommend control measures, monitor and improve WSH performance.
• Conduct monthly safety committee meetings, coordinate and organize campaigns, trainings and WSH activities to enhance safety awareness and knowledge
• Conduct incident and accident investigations and recommend corrective / preventive actions

• Manage service providers deployed at the estate and ensure they maintain appropriate quality standards, adhere to maintenance work order executions, preventive maintenance compliance, timely delivery, facility resource management and inventory control.
• Ensure that service providers carry out works with the necessary risk assessments and safety work procedures in place to manage works and project risks.
• Obtain stakeholders’ requirements to plan and review space programme for the development of campus, buildings and facilities to support SIT academic, administrative and student activities.

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:

• MOM registered WSH Officer and qualified Fire Safety Manager
  Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience as a WSHO and FSM, preferably in the tertiary education environment with recognised Degree / Diploma, preferably occupational safety and/or environmental health or related fields.
  Familiar with local regulatory requirements related to workplace safety and health, and all other aspects of safety.
  Possess ISO and OHSAS knowledge and implementation. Certificates in QEHS Internal Auditing (ISO 9001, ISO 140001, OHSAS 18001) will be significantly favoured
  Proven track record in managing functions such as policy, planning and project management
