Institute for Pedagogical Innovation, Research & Excellence (InsPIRE)Â is a collaborative entity within the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) with a mission to unite various entities and foster a culture of excellence in teaching and learning.
InsPIRE is seeking a Research Associate to drive research in Artificial Intelligence, Science of Learning, and Pedagogical Innovation, and to engage in interdisciplinary education initiatives, social media promotion, fostering academic integrity and enhancing InsPIRE's impact.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Research and Innovation:
Conduct research in use of AI in education, Learning Science, and Pedagogical Innovation
Conduct research in use of technology to enhance teaching and learning
Collaborate on experimental designs, data collection, and analysis methodologies
2. Social Media Engagement:
3. Student Effective Learning Series:
Co-plan and market student activities, workshops, and webinars
Design and create publicity for effective learning events
4. Publicity for Interdisciplinary Education:
5. InsPIRE Report Editor-in-Chief:
Produce and curate bi-annual reports, ensuring clarity and accuracy
Collaborate with contributors and design teams for impactful presentation
6. Academic Integrity Policy Team:
7. Website Administration Team:
Administer and maintain web content, ensuring functionality and accuracy
Implement updates and improvements, including a mobile-first layout
8. Administrative Duties:
Participate in team meetings, discuss progress, and address challenges
Assist in event coordination, project management, and adherence to timelines
Job Requirements:
A Bachelors or Masters degree from a recognized university. STEM area preferred.
Proficiency in graphic design, video production, and content creation
Experience in planning and organizing workshops, webinars, and events
Demonstrated expertise in research methodologies
Familiarity with academic integrity policies and guidelines, and experience in contributing to policy development
Proficiency in website management and content updates
Experience in editing reports and adherence to editorial publication standards
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Pedagogical knowledge of teaching and learning
Excellent team player with demonstrated ability to work independently
Demonstrate initiative, adaptability and creative problem-solving
