Summary of the position

As Compliance Expert DIA APAC Country Support you will contribute to the comprehensive compliance program for Roche Diagnostics APAC. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the architecture and implementation of the governance and strategic framework for compliance and business sustainability, to support the countries in APAC and ensure sustainable growth. You will effectively foster and further strengthen a culture of integrity, drive compliance risk and opportunity management and state of the art compliance programs, foster continuous improvement of the compliance and business sustainability processes, supporting the organization with an effective and proactive business oriented approach.

In this role, you will be supporting the implementation of the global and regional compliance initiatives and work directly for the commercial affiliates, in cooperation with local Compliance Officers, to enable compliance program maturity, smooth implementation of initiatives, knowledge sharing and flexible resource allocation within the Region (based on business need and compliance risks and opportunities).

In your role, you will be closely cooperating with all other members of Diagnostics Compliance Network, especially Compliance professionals within the Region APAC.

You will report to the DIA APAC Compliance Lead.

Main tasks of the position

1. Implementation of the compliance initiatives in the APAC region, according to the Core Compliance Team decisions and divisional and regional strategy.
2. Key enabler of sustainable business operations by providing highest quality compliance advice that includes the identification, management and improvement of key compliance risks across the region to support risk management and compliance assurance.
3. Supporting local Compliance Officers and business teams in compliance projects, by hands on involvement and delivering value locally under the leadership of local Compliance Officer
4. Designing and implementing Training Programs for country organizations and external Business Partners in cooperation with local Compliance Officers
5. Driving standardization and one Roche approach by specialization and applying above market compliance rules interpretation
6. Supporting the network of internal compliance professionals at country level across the entire APAC region to drive the implementation of strategic goals and to manage key compliance risks.
7. Advising senior leaders such as local leadership teams in Compliance matters,
8. Navigating complex environments taking into consideration internal and external conditions,
9. Coaching and catalyzing the local compliance professionals across the entire APAC region to co-create value with and for all its key stakeholders. Enabling a learning environment and keeping the customers at the center of activities of the regional compliance team.
10. Contribute to the oversight and support compliance investigations in the region.
11. Contribute to establishing and maintaining good relationships with regulatory/industry bodies, raising the standards for ethical business, promoting regulatory convergence, and increasing digital health readiness.
12. Maintaining a thorough understanding of Roche internal rules and guidelines, industry codes, as well as relevant local laws, in order to keep the local compliance programs updated, modern and enabling the new market opportunities

Qualifications of the position

• Education:
  • University Degree (or MBA or other relevant Post Graduate qualification), preferably in the Legal, Finance, Economics, Business, Administration, Audit area.
• Professional experience/duration:
  • Experience in Audit, Compliance, Risk, Assurance, Governance or Finance, ideally with regional exposure and cross-cultural experience.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant international / regional compliance policies and regulations, solid understanding of the diagnostics, medtech and healthcare industry

Your day-to-day

Financial Returns:

• Work with superior in the preparation and management of the department’s budget.

You will be employed under Y Suites by Wee Hur Hospitality Pte Ltd (Company), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Group, which is the entity that is responsible for the success of our PBSA management brand. You will report directly to the Assistant Manager, Sales & Reservations and Regional Senior Manager, Business Development. You will be required to work closely with our Sales team in Singapore and BD team in China.

This role is designed for professionals with robust track record in sales admin support, excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, strong detail-oriented mindset and deep motivation to learn and grow. Experience in Sales support, Reservations or Admin coordinator within the hospitality industry are added advantage. Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is preferred.

You will assist the sales team to retrieve and collate reports, check room availabilities, and make changes to existing reservations. You will need to manage 2 key software systems, namely a sales CRM and an enterprise property management software, so experience and track record in data retrieval and software system utilisation is strongly preferred. You are also expected to respond to sales team request for information or changes at a high frequency and due to the time-sensitive nature of sales closure, we require somebody who is agile, responsive, and highly communicative on chat channels, with a strong bias for action.

Key responsibilities:

1. To have a good grasp of the property management system (PMS) to check room availabilities and provide fast response to the China BD team when required.
