As aField Service Engineer, you are accountable for:

· Field Support. To carry out Corrective Maintenance (CM) as a result of failure of the hardware and software related to SIMPLE. To restore the system to its operational condition. To monitor and maintain the records of the overall system operational availability and reliability, including Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), system downtime duration and the types of hardware defects as well as all related software versions, patches.

· Field Testing. To carry out software testing on the system whenever there is a new software bug fixes. To ensure the correct configuration of the system is loaded for software / system testing and before the system is used for production.

· Spares Services. To manage the spares provisioning, support and test equipment and other tools that are stored at Authority site. To undertake store keeping functions in respect of receipt, issue and disposal. To carry out serviceability check on the spares and to ensure prompt and appropriate action is taken to rectify any fault on the spares. To monitor the end-of-life and end-of-support status of the spares and installed hardware.

· Preventive Maintenance (PM). To carry out PM on the hardware to retain the system in the specified operational condition in accordance to the planned maintenance schedule. In carrying out the PM, to follow the approved PM checklists to perform calibration, servicing and verification of system configurations. To submit the PM report after each PM.

· Calibration Services. To liaise with vendor to perform calibration services on the test equipment that are used for the preventive maintenance.

The role of the IT Support Engineer is to provide IT support for EOS Singapore group of companies. This position is responsible for their coordination and completion on-time and within budget and scope for one or more projects as directed.

Primary Duties:

Reporting to the BD Director (Singapore), you will have the following key responsibilities:

• Configure and manage company laptops, workstations and servers of different operating systems such as Windows and Linux. This includes company laptop, workstations and server installation, fixing the issues and server enhancements to improve security, performance and reliability.
• Participate in the design, implement and manage of enterprise system technologies as and when required.
• Manage server environment, including the installation of new severs and associated Group policies.
• Assist and support HQ ICT Manager with IT implementation related projects.
• Assist with network and security appliance configuration, maintenance and monitoring.
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of EOS Cyber protection systems and processes.
• Fixing issues with company laptops, workstations and server and also carry out the system patching, back up services etc.
• Other lawful duties specified by the reporting officer, HQ IT Manager and President as and when required.

As a Support Engineer in our global platform team, you will have the unique opportunity to:

• Be the commander of online issues / incidents, find root causes via analysing system metrics or reading application logs, communicate clearly to relevant stakeholders without excessive technical jargon, write retrospect documents to help the team learn from failures.
• Be responsible for the deployment of our services and release of new features to users, and provide support for post-deployment regression testing.
• Continuously improve our application logs and monitoring dashboards by working with backend / infrastructure engineering teams, to detect issues earlier, find root causes faster and reduce false alarms.
• Consolidate common procedures and write SOP documents / monitoring playbook so that the team could apply the same standardised optimal actions when it happens again.
• Identify inefficiencies and potential risks in our processes, and propose improvements to them.

What We Are Looking For:

• Diploma or degree in a program related to Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Familiar with at least 1 programming language, able to write scripts or SQL queries for debugging, monitoring, statistics, etc.
• Familiar with monitoring and logging tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, ELK Stack, etc.
• Understanding of software release practices, including but not limited to A/B test, feature flags, grayscale deployment, etc.
• Good communication skills and a strong team player.
