Job Description – Service Technician

We are looking for a Service Technician in maintaining and managing system hardware and networks at customer site located over Singapore island to meet the contractual Service Level Agreement (SLA). The Service Technician shall report directly to the Service Engineer/Maintenance Lead (Reporting Officer (RO)) and Maintenance Manager (Approving Officer (AO)). Hiring shall be 1 year services contract via agent arrangement with option to extend or convert to direct outsource or permanent hiring.

Responsibilities

· Assist the RO in providing Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) tasks.

· Provide update and feedback on PM & CM work including maintenance documentation such as PM & CM checklist and status update to RO for maintenance report consolidation and generation to AO for review and final release to customer.

• Mentor, guide technicians, junior technician in maintenance activities and job competency
• Help out in the supervision of Capex project execution
• Perform equipment or system testing / commissioning / Inspections / Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR) to properly handover to the Operations team after maintenance / project completion
• Standby as duty technician for emergency activation to perform corrective maintenance after working hours
• Suggest and execute ideas for continuous improvement in maintenance procedures and processes to improve or optimize maintenance costs, work processes and safety standards
• Assist to lead equipment training to the Operations dept or new trainees
• Practice good housekeeping
• Assist to maintain spare parts inventory levels, support on delivery checks by suppliers and maintain good preservation/housekeeping in the stores

Requirements:

• 3 years of relevant maintenance experience in similar industry
• ITE or Diploma equivalent in maintenance
• Familiar with and experience in Maintenance and inspection work
• Familiar with and experience in terminal equipment and assets
• Technically sound
• Familiar with terminal equipment and assets
• Familiar with terminal fire-fighting and emergency procedures
• Knowledge of safety, health and environment regulatory and practices

Core Responsibility

· Install, repair, adjust, and maintain small electric or pneumatic control systems used for building. This includes heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment.

· Conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.

· Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine the best course of action for equipment modifications.

· Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.

· Standby purposes on-site to be the first response for any incident.

· Routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality.

· To identify and raise to the Engineer if there is any faulty equipment.

· Be the hands-on person to carry out S&M / Repair

· Monitor chiller plant performance (kW/RT)

· Assist Engineer to carry out any works to optimize and maintain chiller plant performance.

· Ensure Service Reports for periodic S&M is properly documented and stored.

· Attend to any complaints by Customers

Requirement

· High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

· Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

· Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on dredging equipment, including pumps and hydraulic systems, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Assembly and Disassembly: Assist in the assembly and disassembly of dredger components, adhering to safety and quality standards to ensure efficient operations.
• Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Conduct thorough troubleshooting and diagnostic assessments on various dredger systems to identify and resolve mechanical issues promptly.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and operators to develop and implement effective maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Workshop Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are in proper working condition and readily available. Ensure the accuracy of the inventory stored in the workshop. Conduct safety inspections and ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and regulations.
• Procurement Support: Support the procurement of spare parts and materials, maintaining inventory records and ensuring timely availability for repairs. Maintain accurate records of inventory and procurement activities.
• Documentation: Accurately document maintenance activities and repairs in accordance with company protocols and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Proven Mi. 5 years of experience in marine mechanical engineering or Marine-Shipyard field.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
