Requirements:

Job Overview:

The Marine Transport and Logistics Underwriter manages underwrites marine transport and logistics risks. You will work closely with brokers, shipowners, freight forwarders and logistics providers to assess risks, develop tailored solutions, and ensure that the Club's portfolio is well-managed in line with risk appetite. The ideal candidate should have strong technical underwriting skills, an in-depth understanding of P&I coverage, and knowledge of the logistics industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwrite and assess risks in marine transport, logistics, and associated liabilities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, shipowners, and clients.
• Develop tailored insurance solutions to meet clients' needs while maintaining the Club’s risk appetite.
• Ensure proper documentation, including policy wording and coverage details.
• Analyse market trends and developments in marine insurance and logistics to provide strategic advice.
• Collaborate with other departments such as claims, loss prevention, and legal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and market outreach.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Business, or related field (Masters preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in marine underwriting, specifically in transport and logistics.
• Strong knowledge of P&I insurance and the global shipping industry.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• Proven experience managing client relationships and delivering exceptional service.
• Proficiency in underwriting systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Operation Executive

JOB DESCRIPTIONS

• Coordination with clients, shippers, truckers, shipping lines/co-loaders, local/overseas agents and overseas offices on shipments.

• Provide support to the Commercial and Operations Team with involvement in full spectrum of shipping process, namely arranging for pickup, booking, document preparation (bill of lading, invoicing, certificate of origin, export permit declaration and/or AMS/IFS filing, if applicable) and customs formalities.

• Monitor, guide and follow up with the client on their shipments, providing efficient and timely response.

• Managing and resolving client(s) complaints.

• Establish and grow relationship with vendors, shippers, customers, carriers and overseas offices.

• Monitor internal operation system and ensure correct data entry.

• Ensure prompt closure of job files in alignment with month-end account closures.

PROFILE & SKILLS

· 1 – 3 years’ experience in air and ocean freight (FCL/LCL) especially handling the whole operation from booking, documentation and billing for import/export.

· Good knowledge of import, export and general logistics industry; and market knowledge.

· Knowledge of iso tanks, flexi tanks industry will be an advantage.

· Proficient in MS Office software, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

· Good team player with the ability to work with colleagues and people of all levels and from other cultures/nationalities.

· Ability of communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken.

· Able to work independently and be able to meet deadlines.
