Role Summary
This position will be responsible for managing OEM account relationships, gaining new OEM customers, coordinating with the Global OEM team, and helping to define growth strategies. Coordination at the global level is required in order to ensure a successful global relationship with OEM customers.
The position will report into the Regional Sales Director, OEM(APAC).
Key Responsibilities
- Oversight of assigned OEM’s - existing & potential. Build necessary multilevel relationships to gain customer intimacy, with a view to have a competitive position across global & regional RFQs.
- Coach and influence regional teams on account management to ensure proper management of OEMs.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve global growth targets. Position will work with other Global Key Account Managers, Marketing, Technology, Supply Chain, Product Management, Senior Management and key global partners, to develop and execute strategic growth plans to strengthen OEM / Strategic Account relationships and financial results.
- Oversight of financial and volume targets, while working in a matrix structure.
- Participate in regional account management calls and provide remote support to other regions, when needed.
Job requirements
- Bachelor/ Master’s degree in Business, Sales or a related field
- Experience in business development and building relationships with large Japanese automotive OEM customers.
- Five or more years of sales, account management experience in a lubricants business or on OEM side.
- Analytical thinking and expertise in strategic account management with an ability to map out customer organizations and build relationships at CXO level.
- Result driven and business savvy.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills and an ability to speak fluent Japanese would be highly preferred as some of the documentation and presentations would be conducted in Korean.
- Extensive travel, minimum 50% across the APAC region including India & ANZ regions.
