• Facilitate the negotiation process with external parties on research-related agreements including but not limited to non-disclosure agreements, material/data transfer agreements, project agreements, research collaborative agreements, clinical trial agreements.
• Work with external and internal teams to draft, review and execute research-related agreements.
• Advise and assist Principal Investigators on research-related matters and compliance to internal research-related policies and procedures.
• Formulate and implement research agreements-related policies, processes and dashboards.
• Supervise and train junior staff in the team on research agreement management.
• Coordinate report collation, provide administrative support for research-related meetings and events, and other ad-hoc duties to support the Research Office functions, that may be assigned from time to time.

Job requirements

• Degree in medical, health, science, law related areas or general degree with relevant experience.
• At least 6 years’ experience in managing research agreements, preferably with 2 or more years in managing clinical trial agreements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Support the Director, Research and Manager, Research to oversee and implement the research programmes and initiatives of the National Dental Centre Singapore (NDCS) and the Oral Health Academic Clinical Program (ORH ACP) in the following areas:

Grant management

• Support grant applications and manage research grants awarded to NDCS
• Maintain the research dashboard on grant matters
• Compile and gather research metrics from clinicians and researchers
• Facilitate key performance indicators tracking
• Draft progress reports
• Support and manage the Grant Finance System and Procurement System
• Monitor grant budget and utilization
• Handle grant variation matters
• Handle procurement matters e.g. Invitation to Quote (ITQ), Waiver of competition (WOC)

Research operations and support

• Formulate, maintain and implement research-related policies and standard operating procedures
• Correspond with IT to troubleshoot system-related issues
• Correspond with relevant research agencies/personnel and other stakeholders
• Handle incident reporting for lab-related incidents
• Lab safety and point of contact for lab audits

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biological Sciences or other related field with preferably at least 1 year of relevant working experience.
• Experience with grant management is preferred.

As a member in the Account Receivables and Non-Research Grants Section, you will establish partnerships with multiple stakeholders within the hospital to support smooth financial operation of the hospital initiatives that align with MOH and national initiatives. The Division of Supportive and Palliative Care is conducting research projects to improve health services for patients with cancer and other serious illnesses. The projects aim to develop, evaluate and implement novel models of healthcare service delivery for palliative care.

The research coordinator will perform a variety of activities under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and/or their designate:

• Conduct literature reviews
• Screen and recruit patients/ research participants
• Conduct semi-structured interviews with patients/ research participants
• Attend to the administrative and logistic needs of research projects
• Assess patients for supportive and palliative care needs and manage any identified needs
