Job purpose:

Key accountabilities

Overview

Perform supervisory duties in all areas of branch operations through respective Unit Heads (including Trade Operations, Treasury Ops, Branch Operations, Operations Governance and Control, General Admin and IT), ensuring that controls are in place and operational risks are minimized / mitigated.

Maintain close collaboration with all departments and within branch. Adherence of all applicable laws and regulations. • Playing an active role in developing, implementing and achieving strategic objectives of the bank covering operational and business areas including constant improvement of operations and creation of business development environment within the enabling functions.
• Explore new and efficient ways of product/service delivery e.g. automation, robotics, etc.
• Lead and undertake process simplification & improvement. Monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes to provide visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives.
• Work closely with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all planned projects are completed within stipulated timelines.
• Provide support to Country Manager on the issues related to areas outside operations.

Policies and procedures:

• Developing and ensuring implementation of the bank’s policies and procedures for assigned functions within the overall policy ambit of HBL group and guidelines and regulations of HBL Bank aimed at standardizing processes, creating a compliant environment, and delivering high service quality for customers while ensuring business continuity and disaster management.
• Ensure all policies & procedures are in place and renewed timely.

Governance, Controls, Compliance and Risk Management

• Devising and implementing controls for timely identification of operational gaps / errors in addition to unplugging and system vulnerabilities to minimize operational, reputation, financial and informational risks
• Ensuring proper monitoring on AML/ CFT issues by the operations while undertaking cash and trade transactions besides ensuring that the teams are aware of their obligations and confident of reporting suspicions related to regulatory, compliance or AML matters as per Bank’s AML policy manual.
• Inculcate a culture of compliance for policies / procedures and key regulatory requirements.
• Investigating root cause on operational incident matters and work closely with stakeholders for resolution and put in place measures to prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate with Internal / external audit and ensure satisfactory rating of reviews carried out by Regulator/RCCU/Internal Audit.

Customer Satisfaction/ Business Results:

• Ensuring creation of an environment within the operations functions geared at achieving consistently high standards of service quality through monitoring timely resolution of customer complaints & queries, evaluating feedback from internal & external customers, close monitoring of developments/ practices in the industry to streamline bank’s processes to meet expectations of all stakeholders; so that the operational efficiencies result in business growth.
• Plan, monitor and analyze key metrics for day-to-day work to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks. Ensure that TATs are maintained in major domains; and taking measures to improve performance efficiency.
• Work closely with stakeholders and clients to bring an increase in business, as well as solutions to problems faced. Assisting internal customers to achieve desired level of ease of doing business and in turn, impacting customer journeys ensuring heightened satisfaction.

People Management

• Leading a diverse functional team, setting objectives, reviewing performance, setting rotation plans, organizational structure and participating in selection/promotion decisions to ensure that staffs have the necessary skills and understanding to deliver the team’s objectives.
• Develop a training plan in consultation with HR to arranging trainings for Operations staff
• Ensure that succession plan is in place for key ops positions

Financial and Admin Management

• Set, agree and control of operation budgets for assigned functions and propose admissible CapEx investments to ensure objectives are achieved in line with HBL goals.
• Ensure that all vendor arrangements and branch leases are up to date in line with the revised policy.
• Handling of operations services outsourced to Head Office and annual review of SLAs and agreements.

Reporting

• Ensuring that regulatory and head office reporting by the assigned functions are done in a timely manner following regulatory guidelines and Bank’s policies and procedures.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or above

Minimum experience:

15 - 18 Years’ Experience including Branch, Trade, Treasury, FI Operations, IT.

· Drive the partners/suppliers to participate actively in daily network operations activities to ensure the stability of the network/voice infrastructure

· Monitor and manage the LAN/WAN network, connectivity between all datacenters, sites and extranets

· Ensures network devices firmware and OS are up to standard and apply/upgrade patches on a regular basis

· Experience on Automating daily network tasks using scripting(Python)

· Responsible to support, configure and manage Cisco Routers and Switches and event correlation appliances throughout the implementation phases of the infrastructure projects

Technical required

· Diploma/Degree in electrical/electronic engineering, computer engineering or related discipline

· Attained CCNA/CCNP/CCIE technical certification

· 5-10 year’s work experience in either the financial or telecommunications industry with an excellent understanding of WAN, LAN and Voice technologies and network operations

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a team of staff to ensure the smooth running of the programme’s daily

Job Requirements

1. More than six years of relevant experience in compliance, of which at least three years comprise leadership experience at financial institutions or related companies.

2. Some experience in interacting with regulators, particularly with the central banks and ministries of finance in Singapore and Malaysia;

3. Demonstrable track record in compliance and AML/CFT matters and Singapore’s Payment Services Act 2019;

4. Strong systems thinker, able to build complex programs from the ground up and see to implementation, and able to articulate compliance concepts clearly to non-compliance stakeholders;

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture and processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in cloud architecture and management.
• Proven experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus.

Role and Responsibilities

Communication:

· Build strong relationships with Project Managers and Business Intelligence Analysts to understand business requirements and use cases for data products.

· Identify issues, gather information from various sources, and translate essential business needs into technical specification that are used as reference for data product design.

Functional & Technical Expertise:

· Regular use of leveraging common data management tools, such as Informatica, SAP BODS, MS-SQL SSIS to design and develop the data models for use by Business Intelligence Analysts, Data Scientists and Analysts to speed up the development of data products.

· Integrate the data models on common BI tools, such as Tableau and/or OBIEE to assist the Business Intelligence Analysts to design and develop business reports and/or dashboards.

· Regular use in any of the various BI standard languages such as SQL, Python, C#, Java, VB etc

· Possess superior organization skills to be able to assist in end-to-end data product development with production development, conducting system integration/user acceptance testing etc.

· Be a steward of good data practices - robust documentation (ie: metadata), versioning, play booking, processes, and knowledge sharing.

· Ability to work with the team to support the maintenance of data platforms

Innovation:

· Develop good working knowledge of available technology capabilities and how and where to deploy them

· Evaluate potential technical solutions and make recommendations to resolve data issues especially on performance assessment for complex data transformations and long running data processes

Requirements / Qualifications

Degree/Diploma in Computer Science/ Engineering, Information Technology/ System or equivalent.

· Minimum 10 years of experience in design, develop, deploy and maintenance of BI solutions

· Equipped with key SQL Skillsets on Oracle, Teradata and MS-SQL Server databases

· Knowledge and relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:

o ETL tools such as Informatica (Primary Skill), SAP BODS

o Data visualization tools such as OBIEE, Tableau

o Has played a solutions architect role

o Data modelling experience

· Knowledge in healthcare domain; or exposure to hospital information / clinical dashboard is an added advantage

They are currently looking for a Fleet IT Application Manager to be part of their team.

Key responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain fleet management software solutions, including features for vessel ERP system, Crew management system & Fleet system integration.
• Collaborate with software developers to customize and enhance software to support fleet management operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define software specifications.
• Monitor the performance of IT systems and networks on vessels, identifying and resolving technical issues promptly.
• Oversee the maintenance and management of the IT infrastructure supporting fleet operations, including servers, networks, hardware, and software.
• Ensure that IT systems are operational, secure, and compliant with industry standards.
• Implement and enforce cybersecurity measures to protect vessel IT systems and sensitive data from cyber threats.
• Collaborate with IT vendors and service providers to ensure the availability and reliability of IT system on vessels.
• Generate reports on IT performance, issues, and improvements for management.
• To ensure successful delivery of the Fleet project and IT activities to support the business IT requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 5 years' experience in developing and implementing major IT systems (preferrable Fleet, Shipping system), at least 3 years of which should be in a project management or project leadership role.
• Previous experience in managing IT operations in a maritime or shipping environment is highly preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Strong leadership and project management abilities.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and remote maritime environment.
• Understanding of web services/API interface to various system
• Good communication & interpersonal skills with strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with overseas partners and stakeholders.
