OVERALL JOB DESCRIPTION
* To lead, oversee and monitor all activities in project management to meet customers’ requirements and satisfaction arising from the Suzhou, China operations,
* To be prepared to be permanently seconded & stationed in the Suzhou sister company.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
* To assist the Management Team to follow-up on new market lead & potentials and market penetration for new product/industry.
* Being the window person interpreting the customer’s requirements, URS and translating them into proposal and conceptualization for new machine/equipment as well as build-from-print projects.
* In-liaison and follow-up with the customer on project proposal and review, subsequent project activities and development.
* Identify and recognize the practices, preference & work methods of specific customers, if applicable for potential machine standardization.
*Spearhead project costing, cost estimation, resource allocation, budget and subsequently, to review the details with the Director for approval.
* Responsible to lead and manage the in-house project team comprising of project leader, design engineers, software engineers, technicians and any external assembly teams to ensure a smooth work flow in the entire project implementation ranging from conceptualization, quotation, planning, costing, scheduling, designing, assembly, quality assurance, debugging, commission, delivery, and to conduct machine factory acceptance test (FAT) with the customer and the necessary follow-up.
* Review and co-ordinate with the in-house SCM team on inventory control for parts, if any, and shipment & delivery requirements.
* Being the mentor and provide guidance to the project team members, and subsequently, review and follow-up on the respective member’s performance.
* In-liaison with the respective vendors on matters related to the project.
* Assist in identifying & short-listing suitable manufacturing process (vendors) of fabrication parts across China.
*Highlight and report to the Management Team on the respective project progress and development at stipulated intervals.
* Extraordinary and special reporting and establish counter plans to the Management during crisis and troubled times.
REQUIREMENTS/ELIBILITY
* Experience in technical development of factory automation & equipment making, with a preference for those familiar with biopharmaceutical industry equipment.
* Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in managerial position, with a preference for experience in managing non-standard automation projects.
* Strong service orientation, customer-centric, proactive, results-oriented.
* Good professional ethics, strong organizational coordination, resource integration ability, adept at communication, negotiation, and public relations.
