RESPONSIBILITIES

- The key person in charge for Hull portfolio

- Achievement of Marine Business Development Plan and growth targets for all Marine lines of business

- Support promotion and ongoing support of Cargo Online systems with clients/intermediaries.

Staff Development

- Supervise, mentor and coach junior staff by enhancing their product/ market knowledge.

Client Management

- Identify and develop potential business areas and maintain professional relationship with existing and potential customers. This shall include provision of technical advice on customers’ insurance need.

- Review, accept and underwrite business within Risk Acceptance Authority and guidelines including claim matters, recommendations on wordings and liaison with MSIJ, MSIG Asia, overseas BUs and reinsurers.

Role Overview

You will be required to provide expertise on the latest developments in the horticulture industry, particularly in sourcing for novel plant introductions to add to the diversity of plants that can be used to further enhance our exhibits and landscapes, and add interest to our local gardening scene. You will be expected to manage and contribute to programs and activities in the Gardens as well as serve the Gardens goal of being an attraction for all to own, enjoy and cherish.

Requirements:

• Degree in any discipline, preferably with 2 years’ of relevant working experience in a relevant field of work
• Possess a keen and passionate interest in plants and gardening with a focus on exceeding visitor expectations
• Assist in coming out with the concept art for floral displays and other installations in the conservatories
• Ability to work out innovative solutions to challenges which may arise
• Service-oriented team player who is prepared to be hands-on
• Experience in horticulture, plants and flowers would be an advantage
