About This Role:-

The CRO is a senior executive responsible for the effective independent oversight of AsiaNext Exchange’s risks, under the direction of the Board of Directors. The CRO’s primary responsibility is to develop and implement a risk management framework with appropriate tools for the measurement, reporting and control of AsiaNext’s financial and non-financial risks. The CRO, with input from the CEO and management, will develop a risk appetite framework (as per the Board’s stated risk tolerance) expressed in a limit structure for all Exchange services. The CRO will also monitor risk-taking activities on the Exchange platform by its participants and report adherence to limits to the Risk Management Committee.

The CRO will report to the CEO while having access to the Board directly. The CRO is a member of the Executive Committee (EXCO).

Responsibilities

• As Head of exchange-wide risk management, the CRO will be responsible for the overall risk management framework and practices at the Exchange. This includes assessing the creditworthiness of participants at the Exchange and setting appropriate trading and credit limits for their transactions, as well as any settlement risk arising from the Exchange acting as a central counterparty on a post trade basis, and how this risk can be mitigated such that the residual risk is within the risk appetite and capacity of AsiaNext.
• To maintain independence of the risk management function, the role of the CRO shall not have any business or revenue generation responsibilities.
• The CRO shall also have a direct reporting responsibility to the Board in reporting the risk agenda and advising and responding to the Board on all risk matters.

Requirements

• Tertiary education in a relevant discipline;
• Experience in a senior managing role within supplier management within the region;
• Deep understanding of industrial engineering landscape in the region;
• Strong track record of supplier contracts management;
• Excellent people managing skills, across geographies;
• Good business acumen and ability to deliver results;
• Strong negotiation skills;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Good organisational skills and ability to work collaboratively with global stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction of Facilities Management (FM) business and relationships with potential customers and service partners, and to identify and develop new and existing business opportunities
• Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
• Arrange business meetings with prospective client
• Tender Management – to conduct the entire process of tender administrations, competitive costing generation and tender submission management
• To collaborate with functional departments to generate write-up for effective and competitive FM tender and business proposals
• To generate FM business processes, SOPs and marketing plans into presentable write-up including tender proposals and submissions
• To conduct commercial negotiations with service partners and suppliers and to ensure the sub-contractors’ contracts administration for the FM projects are established
• To manage the transition of secured projects including deployment to site operations, mobilization of manpower, co-ordinating transition activities between clients and Company, reporting progress, procurement of suppliers and services, generate and establish SOPs and processes, recommending and implementing solutions, and contract management
• To enhance relationship with service partners and suppliers for the delivery of FM projects and businesses
• To mobilise new projects within timeline and budget, and to meet SLA and KPI established in the contract document

Requirements:

• Degree in Facilities Management, Estate Management, Building or relevant related discipline from a recognised tertiary institute
• At least 8 years of relevant experiences in facilities management and business development portfolios.
• Able to lead independently the team of Facilities Management and properties at site with minimum supervision
• Proactive and independent.
• Those with Fire Safety Manager (FSM) qualifications and/or Green Mark Facilities Manager (GMFM) or equivalent is an added advantage
