The Community Psychology Hub (CPH) is dedicated to improving people’s lives through innovative, quality psychological and research services. Our researchers specialize in policy, assessment and intervention research for people with diverse needs (disabilities/vulnerabilities) using implementation, evaluation, measurement, and data sciences.

As a Research Officer within CPH, you will be working closely with your supervisor and a team of researchers in conducting the various research activities involved in the project.

Responsibilities

1. Participate in the entire research cycle of the project

· Conduct literature review

· Plan and implement measures to investigate the research questions

· Data collection, data management, analyses (incl. interpretations and explanations), etc

2. Translate project results to policies/programmes

· Draft, prepare and present written reports or presentations to funders and stakeholders

3. Provide and share research training & consultancy internally and externally

· Share learning from attending courses related to your work (e.g., statistics/research)

· Engage in peer support and knowledge sharing to other team members

4. Other responsibilities

· Attend CPH meetings and events when necessary

· Draft, prepare and submit reports or other deliverables as required promptly

· Build and maintain good rapports with internal and external stakeholders

· Carry out any other duties as assigned by Reporting Officer/Leadership Team

5. Professional development

· Attend CPH endorsed training/workshops/seminars so as to develop relevant knowledge and skills

Requirements

1. Educational qualifications

· A recognised Bachelor (with Honours) in Psychology or Statistics/Data Science

2. Knowledge & Experience

· At least 2 years of relevant experience in carrying out research projects

· Familiarity in implementation, evaluation, measurement, data analyses & project management

· Knowledge of Microsoft office (e.g., Advanced Excel) and statistical programmes (e.g., SPSS, R, Python)

· Experience with online survey administration platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, FormSG) will be an advantage

· Experience with facilitation of focus group discussion will be an advantage

3. Other qualities

· Strong interest in community research for “vulnerable populations”

· Strong oral and written communication skills

· Strong administration, planning, time-management, interpersonal and organisational skills

He/She is responsible to perform all functions related to the Front Office Operation and guest relations to create and upkeep a pleasant experience for guests by rendering warm and personalized services at all times. Duties & Responsibilities

· Attend to all guests’ enquiries and requests on hotel facilities / services, tourist information / tours, self-service launderette, photocopy service, foreign currencies, retail shop, community workshops and so on.

· Carry out pre-arrival activities which includes, but not limit to, preparing welcome letters for VIPs and Executive Club guests, issuing meal and welcome drink coupons, efficient room assignment, charge Non-Refundable Deposit bookings, check correspondences are attached accordingly.

· Check and ensure all assigned rooms are prepared according to the Hotel’s standard and all necessary amenities and guest supplies are properly extended.

· Greet and welcome guests upon arrival and bid farewell upon departure especially in the lobby and at the main entrance.

· Escort guest to reception counter, perform check-in and check-out or in-room check-in for VIPs. Explain the necessary guest’s entitlements and promote in-house facilities.

· Perform daily due-out, extension of stay, late checkout, no-show, room and rate change based on established procedures.

· Show and sell rooms to potential guests, such as walk-in guests, and take room reservations, up-sell rooms and other products whenever possible.

· Carry out transactions, while adhering to hotel’s accounting and controlling procedure, in different modes of payment such as cash, credit/charged card, corporate account, vouchers, and post transactions accurately to ensure accountability of guest’s expenses. Prepare documents accordingly.

· Issue keycards and related vouchers (e.g. carpark coupons, complimentary drink vouchers) based on the established procedures.

Job Descriptions:

• Directly report to the Project Manager and provide regular updates.
• Maintain and update organizational charts, project directories, and weather and manpower records quarterly, for monthly project report submissions.
• Handle incoming calls, raise purchase orders for office supplies, manage site office equipment, and liaise with the HR department when needed.
• Oversee workers' monthly salary, supplier payments, petty cash, site passes, induction records, and assist in preparing correspondence for consultants, clients, and subcontractors.
• Ensure the systematic filing of delivery orders and documentation for annual site and government audits.
• Manage staff timesheets, leave applications, OT approvals, and the onboarding of new staff.
• Circulate site correspondence to staff for timely endorsement and filing in compliance with ISO standards.
• Process workers' salaries, ensuring accuracy and on-time submission to HQ, and handle updates to workers' addresses and work permits.
• Assist with arranging workers' dormitories and transportation.
• Manage hardware material orders and maintain proper records.
• Resolve conflicts, feedback, and complaints related to the project.
• Coordinate with internal and external parties, including clients, residents, and government bodies, for project-related issues.
• Prepare circulars, letters, notices, and work progress updates.
• Attend meetings or dialogue sessions as required.
• Seek management approval for action plans related to project matters.
• Organize and coordinate staff and workers' courses.
• Maintain proper documentation and provide general administrative support to the project team.
