How will you make an impact in this role?

Your role will include the following:

• Data & Privacy Advice. Provide best-in-class strategic advice on applicable data protection laws, rules and regulations in Asia and provide privacy support to Amex initiatives, projects and new product launches, such as advising on the data privacy issues and providing practical solutions to mitigate privacy risks.
• Drafting of privacy documents. Advise on, review, negotiate and draft data protection terms in a wide range of commercial agreements, privacy policies, privacy notices, customer disclosures, data processing agreements, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Qualified and admitted/licensed lawyer in a Commonwealth jurisdiction. Candidates should have at least 4-8 years post-qualification experience, with at least 2 years of relevant privacy experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal environment. Prior in-house experience with financial institution or multi-national corporation preferred.
