What the role is
You will be part of the IWMF Project Planning team (Civil and Structural) working on the development of the Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF) - a large-scale waste management infrastructural project.
What you will be working on
You will work closely with the appointed consultant and stakeholders to ensure overall project delivery as well as meet project timeline and the various milestones. You will be responsible for the following:
- Review the method statements for construction of temporary and permanent works, structural design submission, safety and quality assurance and to resolve technical issues;
- Verification of invoices & payment claims and review of variations orders;
- Conduct site inspections to ensure all engineering works comply with all relevant statutory standards, regulations and Code of Practice;
- Ensure that the design and construction work meet all technical requirements in accordance with contract specifications;
- Monitor project budget and cost reporting to NEA’s Finance and Procurement Department;
- Manage project stakeholders, multi-disciplinary consultant, site contractor team, Accredited Checker and other parties involved in the project;
- Identify potential design and construction related issues or contractual disputes and effect with appropriate solution;
- Review of Design for Safety documents and to ensure site safety requirements are adhered to on site; and
- Coordinate with other stakeholders including government agencies on any development issues.
- Witness and verify factory acceptance tests (FATs) of major structural components at local and overseas factories
What we are looking for
- Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by Singapore Professional Engineers Board
- Preferably with minimum 5 years of relevant infrastructure and building experience including site management experience.
- Knowledge and experience in planning, design and implementation of mega projects from commencement to completion
- Familiar with local statutory and regulatory requirements
- Good knowledge of geotechnical works and BIM
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and BIM software applications
- Prior project management or quantity surveying experience will be an advantage
- Good interpersonal communication, presentation and writing skills
- Able to undergo training and perform work at incineration plants, if necessary
- Able to work at construction sites and travel overseas for FATs and training
- As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
