UWCSEA is looking for a Development Manager (Major Gifts) to join the college.

Reporting directly to the Head of Fundraising, the Development Manager will help advance the College mission through direct fundraising, strategic communications and internal and external partnerships. The Development Manager will build relationships with major donors in the UWCSEA community to support a multi-million dollar fundraising target annually. Funds raised will support key mission-aligned priorities in areas including scholarships, sustainability and innovation. The role will also grow relationships that support increased fundraising targets as the College prepares for a fundraising campaign to advance the growing impact of the College and our mission.

The Development Manager will independently manage a personal portfolio of prospects and donors and will be expected to meet ambitious fundraising goals. The position will be a key driver in building the capacity of the College to implement a strategic fundraising programme, while growing the culture of philanthropy among stakeholders, and broadening and deepening our base of supporters to bring greater impact to our students and mission.

Main Responsibilities

• Proactively lead on fundraising through the cultivation and solicitation of major gifts, including:

You will be ensuring success criteria are defined upfront to promote alignment and actively manage to expected project outcomes in line with the program outcomes.

As part of an integrated organization across 3 main sites (Paris, SQY, Singapore), you will forge close relationships with program director, others team leads, architecture functions and quality assurance teams. There will be a limited travel aspect to this role (approx. 25%).

A strong maturity in project management is required as you will be part of the project committee, reporting the progress highlights with key performance indicator, evaluating risk assessment and proposing mitigation, ensuring transparency throughout project lifecycle.

Main duties details

Oversee and Supports the team on achieving its objectives on both development delivery of software systems and its production stability within the organization unit

• Remove all blocking issues going beyond the team’s authority or requiring support from other teams

• Inspire the team on new practices and quality standards, in strong partnership with the Technical Leader

• Be accountable for Production stability of his scope

• Monitor the results and quality of the different software solutions and projects implemented in the organization.

• Oversee the development of Proof-of-Concept/ solutions and provide technical expertise on the development of software and platform features, ensuring that appropriate security and risk factors are considered.

• Oversee study and support decision process for acquisition of external software or component whenever relevant and needed.

• Ensure the good culture and mindset in term of compliance and security matters across all team members

• Coaches the team to maximize autonomy and Continuous Improvement

• Ensure actions are taken during Retrospectives and delivered

• Follow performances indicators (team velocity, quality, motivation)

Facilitate Team delivery

• Challenges requirements according to constraints

• Ensures User Stories are written & the quality of the stories and acceptance criteria

Ensures reporting for the team

• Ensure budget consumption transparency with his aligned Product Owner on assigned project

• Manage delivery, production reporting with the PO

Support domain strategy and interface with business

• Interface with effective communication with business stakeholders to align their needs and collect their feedback

• Interface with head office division (“filiere”) covered by these activities

• Foster innovation and change management aligned with global CMI strategy

• Organize the work/activities of the teams to ensure the stability of the production throughout the following pillars: application monitoring, incident and requests management, problem management and continuous improvement

Secondary duties

• Serving as backup person for absent ISAP/CMI Manager and ISAP/CMI/T2R Members when required

• Other duties may be assigned

The position requires autonomy and reliability in performing duties while maintaining close communication with rest of project/support team.

Qualifications and Profile

Mandatory

• At least 10 years in Software development or DevOps team

• At least 5 years in application support leadership

• Solid experience with business interaction

• At least 5-year experience with international investment banking domain

• Relevant experience into post trade process for several financial product (Treasury, FX, Bonds, Credit, IRD…)

Good to have

• Understanding of trade life cycle, financial products (Treasury, FX, Bonds, Credit, IRD…)
• Experience in Murex or Calypso
• Exposure to Capital Market FO/BO system (E.g. Summit, Kondor+, Murex…)

Education & Work Experience:

• Senior level (min. 10 years)

• Bachelor and above in relevant specialities

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the activities for the overall contract flow for a variety of agreements including content licensing, production, commissioning, collaboration and partnership agreements with key focus relating to Malay content as well as certain Sports content.

Responsibilities

• Contract Creation: Responsible for the drafting, reviewing, and negotiating variety of agreements including content licensing, production, commissioning, collaboration and partnership agreements to ensure they accurately reflect the terms and conditions agreed upon by all parties involved. Maintain accuracy of content and contract data into company's systems and handle changes to existing contracts.
• Compliance and Risk Assessment: Ensure that contracts comply with relevant laws, regulations and company policies. Assess potential risks associated with contracts, including legal, financial and operational risks, and work to mitigate them.
• Contract Negotiation and Administration: Negotiate terms and conditions with external parties, striving to reach mutually beneficial agreements that are harmonized and aligned with Mediacorp's rights protocols and needs. Oversee the execution of contracts, including the dissemination of obligations and restrictions to ensure that all parties meet their commitments.
• Contract Renewals and Amendments: Responsible for managing contract renewals, amendments, and terminations as necessary.
• Payment Administration: Administer and ensure payments to content providers, production houses or service providers are paid in a timely manner and in accordance with contract deal terms including following up for withholding tax documentation where applicable. Investigate to reconcile payment discrepancies.
• Record Keeping: Adopt best document retention practices in organizing and archival of legal documents, maintain comprehensive records of all contracts and related documents for future reference and auditing purposes.
• Communication: Effective communication is crucial as this role often require liaison between various departments within the organization and with external parties.
• Continuous Improvement and New Systems: Identify opportunities to improve contract management processes and develop best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce risks. Participate in new system development and user acceptance tests, identify systems' gaps, seek solutions to resolve issues.
• Reports and General Administrative functions: Generate reports to monitor contract compliance and perform general administrative functions and other related duties as required. Preparation of monthly contracts tracking reports, stock reports, payment reports, and any ad-hoc reports for analysis. Preparation of ad hoc presentations. General administrative duties such filing, assisting with presentation, circulating legal documents for signatures, despatching of legal documents to external parties etc.

• General Diploma / General Degree.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.

• Excellent command of the English language.
• 2-3 years of relevant working experience. Contract management and payment processing experience are pluses.
