A multinational organisation specialising in Medical Technology is seeking for a Legal Director to lead the APAC region including South-East Asia, China, India, New Zealand.

This MedTech organisation specialises in developing innovative technologies which play a significant role in therapy advancements and in addressing diseases in Hematology, Oncology, Neurology, Autoimmune Diseases and Regenerative Medicine.

The Legal Director will lead the legal function and oversee all legal and compliance matters for the organisation. This role involves providing strategic legal advice to senior management, ensuring compliance with global regulations, managing legal risks, and protecting the company’s interests.

The Legal Director will support the business's growth and operations by advising on various legal issues, including corporate governance, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, licensing, contracts, litigation and Mergers & Aquisitions.

This position requires a proactive and strategic legal professional with experience in the Medical Device and healthcare sector.

What we look for:

• Law degree (LLB or JD) from a recognised institution, with a license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction (Masters degree preferred).
• Minimum of 10-15 years of legal experience, with a significant portion in the Medical Device, healthcare, or life sciences industry (Medical Device & MedTech sectors are highly preferred)
• Experience in a multinational organisation or law firm handling complex legal and regulatory issues.
• Strong knowledge of medical device regulations, requirements, anti-corruption laws, and other relevant healthcare laws.
• Experience with M&A, joint ventures, or other strategic transactions.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to manage a legal team and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent negotiation, contract drafting & review, communication skills and ability to draft legal terminology in Chinese language

As an Associate Director of Technology/Method Transfer, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day activities in a GMP biotech contract manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with approved SOPs and policies across multiple products. You will lead and oversee method transfer, validation, and lab studies while supervising or developing staff. The role involves providing critical support for customer projects, managing resources, and ensuring coordination across functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee laboratory activities such as assay transfers, disinfection studies, stability programs, equipment validation, and cleaning validation.
