• Medical background or prior work in a healthcare environment is preferrable

Job Description:

• Set up a big data biobank
• Collect, clean and ensure quality control of the data
• Provide ongoing maintenance of the big data biobank
• Develop policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and security across the database
• Develop backup recovery plans
• Communicate effectively with project teams to align on project scopes, expectations, progress timeline, and resource management
• Coordinate with external vendors to source for hardware (including storage) and licensing software
• Prepare reports for the supervisors as needed
• Manage setup and running cost and track costs to deliver projects on budget
• Undertake any other ad-hoc duties and training relevant to the role

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess a PhD in Medicine, Epidemiology, life sciences and any other relevant disciplines
• Experience in managing databases, project management or a similar role
• Problem solving skills and attention to details
• Strong communication abilities

Job Description:

• You will work at Department of Urology, Singapore General Hospital, to help manage clinical web-based databases
• You will abstract clinical data on patients who were diagnosed and/or treated at Department of Urology, Singapore General Hospital
• You will export and clean clinical data from eHIntS
• You will enter / import clinical data into the web-based databases and keep the databases updated and maintained
• You are to ensure timeliness, completeness and accuracy in case-finding, data abstraction and data entry
• You will fulfill necessary assistance in submissions of IRB applications / renewals at the Department of Urology SGH
• You will contribute to research outcomes of the projects involved and of the Department.
• You will assist in administrative duties in the Department and perform duties outside of regular job scope from time to time as required by the Principal Investigators of clinical databases and Head of Department of Urology.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Nursing, Healthcare, Bio-medicine related;
• Competent in Microsoft Excel;
• Statistic background/Programming knowledge in Python/R is an advantage.
