RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Role Description:

This position reports to the Director and interfaces with other employees. This role requires service-focused, self-driven, eager to grow, strong ownership and is able to execute task assigned timely. This role must also be able to contribute to strategical and tactical decisions that will shape the company’s present and future directions.

2. Specific Responsibilities:

• Maintain Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes and ensure proper reconciliation of creditors’ statements and accurate reporting of outstanding liabilities.

• Manage cash flow forecasting and ensure sufficient liquidity for operations as well as assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.

• Prepare statutory financial statements and ensure compliance with laws and regulations as well as liaise with external auditors and tax agents to ensure smooth audit processes and tax filings.

• Prepare full sets of monthly management accounts, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, comply with accounting standards and policies, perform analysis by comparing actual results to budgeted results as well as analyze variances and provide detailed explanations for discrepancies in financial performance.

• Provide the group financial analyses and interpretations of variances, and advice to management for decision-making processes.

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement financial strategies that support business growth and sustainability and also provide financial input on strategic projects.

4. Duration of Traineeship/Attachment Offered:

6 months

1. To maintain time management system, process payroll, CPF, IR8A and prepare related personnel reporting.

2. To maintain personnel, leave, medical, training records.

3. To perform staff recruitment, interviews, orientation, induction, exit clearance.

4. To coordinate and arrange staff training.

5. To process work permit, employment pass applications.

6. To liaise with government bodies, staff and suppliers with regard to personnel, immigration, levy, personal income tax matters.

7. To perform office administration tasks including procurement of office equipment and supplies, insurance, travel bookings, issue of stationery and staff uniform.

8. To give suggestions on the improvement of all assigned tasks with regard to efficiency and effectiveness.

9. To perform administration matters: coordinate the maintenance of office equipment, area cleaning, door access and security system, phone and public announcement system.

Job Description

The shortlisted candidate is to ensure timely completion of medical reports and the medical information is released in accordance with the hospital policy.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Register and process medical report requests, including cashier function for medical report payment.Handle all email, phone and mail enquiries pertaining to medical reports.
• Follow-up with doctors on incomplete medical report requests.
• Execute administrative duties pertaining to all medical report requests.

• In charge of month end and year end stock take

Functions and Responsibilities

· Comply to ASL HSSEQ policy and procedures.

· Responsible for the preparation of a full set of accounts for her or his portfolio of vessels up to monthly closing for review with the Senior Accountant

· Issues the invoices for each client according to the contractual agreements and upon approval from his/her supervisor submits them to clients, as well as monitor their timely payment, reporting any potential discrepancies from schedule. Monitors the financial position of assigned vessels.

· Assisting Senior accountant for the timely preparation of yearly Company financial reports.

· Proceeds all the accounting entries and develops analytical monthly accounting reports according to the requirements and processes of Arcadia, to provide management with the required information. (DANAOS/SHIPNET)

Requirements:-

o Diploma in Accountancy/Finance/CPA/ACCA/Diploma

o At least 4 years of accounting experience specializing in vessel handling and analytical reporting from the shipping industry

o Skill(s): Accounts, Tax and GST reporting
