ORDER EXECUTION

Approval on quotation value, minimum gross margin & issue purchase order need to follow approval matrix.

Responsibilities:

· Assist department manager to develop sales & marketing activities for HVAC New Build /Conversion/Retrofit Project.

· Visit and liaise with customer to maintain good relationship for new tender project.

· Assistant department manager to prepare sales quotation and costing for bid project.

· Assist to manage and monitor ongoing projects and prepare project-related document/ paperwork to ensure all project execution smoothly.

· Work closely with the internal project team and client project/commercial team with effective communication and co-ordination.

· Attend technical meeting / project meeting, update weekly/monthly project status.

· Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by General Manager.

Requirements:

· Degree/Diploma in Engineering or its equivalent

· At least 2 years relevant working experience in Sales/Project engineer

· HVAC experience for marine and offshore are preferred.

· Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel.

Job Responsibilities

• Liaise with construction team to prepare document for Request for Quotation (RFQ) or Open Tender.
• Source potential tenderers/subcontractors and send out invitation for RFQs.
• Coordinate queries and clarifications between tenderers and construction team during RFQ stage.
• Coordinate post-tender interviews between tenderers, construction team, QS team and contracts team.
• Assist QS manager and contracts manager with quantity surveying matters relevant to Sub-Contract, Works Order and Purchase Order.
• Assist contracts team in administration of subcontracts.
• Handle payment request received from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Preparation and submission of Variation Order & Progress Claim to Client (LTA).
• Ensure all contractual obligations are met and manage any dispute or variation.
• Any other adhoc tasks assigned by QS Manager/Contracts Manager.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Survey, Purchasing/Procurement, Business, Engineering.
• 5- 8 years' experience in quantity surveying and sub-contract administration of Construction Project.
• Possess the relevant tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Contract/Construction Law.
• Experience with LTA project is preferable.

Task Management

• Ensure vessel designs meet all contractual requirements and specifications.
• Oversight of the technical review process for the procurement of all main equipment and materials.
• Oversight of dealings with classification societies, flag states and any relevant regulatory bodies.
• Responsible for the successful resolution of technical issues with OEMs, Client, Classification Societies and Flag states.
• Technical Expert with classification societies rules and flag state regulations.
• Technical Expert of Weight management and control throughout the vessel build process.
• Technical Expert of Inclining Experiments and Lightship Surveys.
• Technical Expert of Sea Trials Protocols including loading conditions.
• Provide leadership and coaching to all engineering team members.
• Work closely with the General Manager, Engineering and Senior Management Group.
• Develop and maintain a strong network of industry suppliers, subcontractors and contacts.

Essential:

• Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Senior Design Engineer or Naval Architect. Proven history working within the Shipbuilding industry.
• Formal Naval Architect or Marine Engineering qualifications.
• Sound working knowledge of Classification Society Rules and Flag Regulations.

Job Purpose
