Job Mandate
The Operations Head is primarily responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Customer Service, Marketing and overall Operations of branch. He/She assists the Chief Executive in the operation and control of the branch, ensures prompt and efficient delivery in compliance with the bank’s service standards and internal control.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Performs start and end of day activities:
a. Ensures that manning of the counters is always adequate.
b. Monitors branch daily cash-in-vault within authorized limits.
c. Ensures accomplishment of fund generation target through in-house marketing activities.
2. Oversees the operation of the branch that includes marketing and service delivery.
3. Informs clients of new relevant regulatory circulars, new products, offerings, rates and cross-sells these including the other existing bank products and services.
4. Conducts account reviews to ensure continuous enhancement of quality of service.
5. Approves and verifies transactions (over-the-counter, trade & loans, treasury support, Customer Service Unit and International & Loans Unit) in accordance with defined policies and procedures and within authority limits.
6. Reviews, prepares, approves and submits branch reports on time.
7. Monitors and reports regularly on status of past due accounts.
8. Handles client concerns and sees to it that they are addressed immediately.
9. Ensures that the branch meets the service standards and client expectations as to accuracy, efficiency and turn-around time.
10. Ensures branch adherence to regulations of Singapore Monetary Authority, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Anti-Money
Laundering Council and other pertinent government agencies and ensures that bank policies, procedures and controls related to branch operations are strictly followed by designated branch officers or staff to attain an acceptable audit rating.
11. Attends to administrative-related matters such as the conduct of regular operations meetings, branch upkeep, implementation of duties and responsibilities of the operational personnel.
12. Handles manpower issues, initiates personnel movements, career planning and development of branch personnel under his unit.
13. Assists the Chief Executive in the review and discussion of internal and external audit findings, comments, recommendations and ensures audit rectifications are implemented and that replies to internal/external audit findings are submitted promptly.
14. Performs other duties assigned from time to time.
