Project Title: Developing Collective Free Music Improvisation Pedagogy to Engage Diverse Learners in the 21st Century

Project Introduction: This research project seeks to explore and develop Collective Free Music Improvisation (CFMI) pedagogy that aligns with 21st CC and the Primary and Lower Secondary (PLS) Music Syllabus outcomes, as well as engage diverse students in Singapore’s PLS Music Programme.

In this classroom intervention project, Ministry of Education (MOE) music teachers will first develop CFMI skills and pedagogy in a professional development workshop, and then craft and implement suitable CFMI pedagogies for their classes. The project will have two phases. In the first phase, up to 18 MOE music teacher volunteers will first learn CFMI skills and pedagogies in a CFMI workshop the PI conducts. In the second phase, up to five teacher volunteers from the workshop will create and implement a CFMI course for their respective classes to explore ways CFMI may be effectively delivered in various music classroom contexts in MOE schools.

These exploratory case studies will address the following research questions:

1) How do teachers design and conduct the CFMI programme to engage students and meet the PLS Music Syllabus outcomes and the 21st CC?

2) How do students learn to improvise in the CFMI programme designed by the teachers?

Job Description

• Officer-In-Charge of the employee life cycle processes for assigned portfolio - recruitment, onboarding, orientation & training logistics and record keeping through exit interview;
• Manage full spectrum of payroll related function for assigned subsidiary (Tax clearance submission, monthly CPF submission, annual income tax submission, and other government related grant application and submission);
• Assist in recruitment initiatives for other subsidiaries within the Group;
• Company-wide committee facilitation and participation;
• Employee safety, welfare, wellness and health reporting;
• Provide direct support to employees during implementation of HR services, policies and programs;
• Updating HR policies and organize CSR related programs;
• Ad-hoc duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Diploma / Degree Holder in any field; Diploma / Degree Holder in HR or related field is a distinct advantage;
• Minimum of 2 - 3 years relevant experience in Human Resources with Payroll Processing responsibilities for an organisation in Singapore is required for this position;
• Experience in payroll softwares will be an advantage;
• Possess a high level of responsibility and integrity to maintain confidentiality of all HR and payroll records;
• Meticulous with good communication skills;
• Indepensent and self-motivated with a growth mindset;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications;
• Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the pre and post contract administration of projects.
• Ensure timely and accurate updating of project monitoring files.
• Assist in proper documentation and filing system.
• Work closely with QS in charge to ensure all documents flow to and from all necessary parties and all work done are recorded and bill on time.

Requirements:

• GCE “O” levels or above
• 2 years of relevant working experience in document management
• Has good document control & administrative skills

Job Descriptions:

Warehouse Operation :

• Lead and drive the daily logistics operations at the Ambient and cold chain distribution centres (DC)
• Lead and coach the respective operations team to set directions towards effective and efficient management of the logistic operations and any related changes
• Ensure that all necessary stock management processes/tools and operation setups are in place to ensure no stock is lost in the DC, stock counts are accurate and any variances are fully investigated 
• Resolve business issues and challenges with operation, seeking best practices to achieve a solution without adding further complexity to processes or systems operation and escalate to management team when needed
• Coach, motivate and lead direct reports, provides feedback to enhance/develop skills, knowledge and work performance
• Guide and supervise operations related projects such as warehouse migration, automation implementation, etc
• Plan, organise and direct the respective operation team to assure operational effectiveness, adherence to WSH guidelines and statutory compliances, attain quality certifications and drive a culture of safety across the workplace
• Continuously review, identify opportunities and drive initiatives to improve operational processes, risk mitigation, enhance quality and to improve the overall productivity of the DC 
• To achieve cost, process efficiency, productivity and ensuring that perishable or temperature-sensitive products at the cold room meet the required quality standards 
• Manage the Profit & Loss, budgeting, cost controls and ensuring the operations is on track financially through the development and effective management of the distribution strategies, policies and processes to enhance productivity, optimizing warehouse capacity and minimizing cost
• Achieve cost efficiency through effective business negotiations with third party providers and/or contractors for the contractual rates and services
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to drive growth and continuous development of the DC
• To operate day to day fulfilment, last mile deliveries, and achieve the optimum productivity level and KPIs set for transport operations
• Oversee relationship management with our contractors ensuring there is service and quality alignment cross our businesses
• Manage commercial relationships with key vendors such as truck leasing companies and other service
• Others ad hoc duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field
• Minimally 5 years of Logistics/Supply Chain experience food grade warehouse and/or cold chain environment
• Strong knowledge and proven experience in managing Distribution Center and Cold Chain operations and last-mile logistics
• Excellent understanding and experience in warehouse and product quality management / standards and audits
• Strong understanding and experience in lean management / six sigma, continuous improvement programs and tools 
• Result oriented, equally comfortable with strategic planning and execution
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across business units and cross-functional teams
• Possess strong business acumen with demonstrated understanding of the financial aspects of operations and supply chain 
• Past proven achievements in people management and driving cost effectiveness for CAPEX & OPEX 
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and has effective change management skills

The Job Role:

· Handles incoming calls/faxes/emails on customers' enquiries in a courteous and prompt manner.

· Prepares contracts/quotations/ invoices to customers.

• Liaising and coordinating with Supply Chain Dept( warehouse and Delivery team) for delivery
