We are hiring a facilities engineer to be part of a dynamic facilities management team responsible for the operation and maintenance, modification and replacement works of the building’s mechanical and electrical systems.

Description

• Responsible for day-to-day operations and supply of utilities (e.g. Electricity, Water, Air Conditioning) to support company operations.
• Responsible for operations and maintenance of facilities related equipment and system e.g. Chilled Water System, ACMV, Compressed Dry Air System, Fire Protection System, Electrical Distribution System, Lifts, Platforms and Cranes etc.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs for all M&E systems.
• Work with procurement for service contracts and liaise with relevant service providers and contractors to implement rectification works.
• Ensure facilities department is always in compliance with all local and government regulations.
• Work closely and manage external vendors for soft services e.g. Security, Cleaning, pest control etc. and technical services (i.e. M&E systems).
• Work with users on facilities related repairs, enhancement works and renovation projects.
• Work with management on facilities equipment modification and replacement works.
• Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of facilities operations in terms of cost, processes, performance and efficiency.
• Support various company level audits from facilities aspect to ensure full compliance of the audits.
• Handle CAPEX and special projects as assigned by Facilities Managers.
• Participate in Workplace Safety and Health Committee (WSHC)
• Other duties as assigned by Facilities Management.

Requirements

• Possess a Degree / Diploma in Engineering or professional qualification in Engineering or Facilities Management, with min. 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• Sound knowledge in building maintenance, mechanical and electrical (M&E) operations and maintenance, technical services or construction works.
• Experience in building automation system will be an added advantage.
• Facilities related certification and/or accreditation (e.g. SCEM, FSM, GMFM) will be an added advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
• Possess good interpersonal and problem solving skills.

• Monitor conformance of outsourced guards to security post orders (or contract expectations) through the use of (KPI) key performance indicators
• Monitor and ensure implementation and maintenance of a security personnel training program
• Maintain security systems and equipment to ensure effective operational resilience in the protection of Micron assets and ensure proper reporting of malfunction for prompt repair/replacement
• Administer general and emergency communication systems to include management of the Security Control Room, where applicable, and Lobby operations

• To engage with site leadership team on security updates, improvement projects and any other site related improvements or project executions
• Act as cover for Country Security Manager during his absence
• Assist the Country Security Manager in managing your operational budget expenditure for your Site.
• Perform any other security related duties as directed by your superiors

Monitors or audits the organization to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures. Investigates security issues, and prepares reports recommending preventive or corrective action. Duties may include direct or indirect responsibility for data, computer, or network security. May be responsible for overseeing contract security personnel & equipment.
