Key Summary

The incumbent is a highly creative and dynamic individual with acute business acumen to manage, curate, implement and sustain the programmes and initiatives of Café Kawan and Mobile Café Kawan.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist to plan and design programmes/initiatives for Café Kawan and Mobile Café Kawan while proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues, and initiating appropriate corrective action
• Asisst to recommend and adopt effective marketing strategies for new and existing programmes through various channels, in line with the Foundation’s objectives
• Ensure that expenses are within budget and identify ways to decrease operational costs
• Assist to draft application and proposals for submission to funding authorities to maximize grants and license approvals for operating the cafe
• Assist to oversee the recruitment, training, and supervision of café staff and volunteers
• Help to establish work standards and processes for the effective administration and running of the cafe
• Identify strategies to attract and engage the seniors in the community
• Manage successful partnerships, collaborations and communication with various stakeholders

Key Requirements

• Minimum Degree/Diploma with 3 years of working experience of a similar capacity in a service-oriented industry
• Certificate in Food Hygiene is preferred but successful candidates without the certification must be willing to complete the course
• Preferably with some hands-on experience in food preparation
• Experience with social media and in managing volunteers will be a plus
• Team player with excellent people management skills
• Resourceful and possess strong organisational skills
• Penchant for working with the elderly and their caregivers
• Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin
• Ability to converse in Chinese dialects is an added advantage

Job Responsibilities:

• Communicate with customers to solve collection issues and gain payment commitments, while building rapport and a positive relationship with global strategic account.
• Check stopped orders report on a daily basis for the assigned region and/or product line. Review the overdue status and risk development of the customer before releasing the order.
• Conduct customer review of the new and existing customers and recommend credit lines according to the global credit policy.
• Work with cash applications team and customer service team to research and resolve short payments/non-payment disputes.
• Attend periodic collection meeting and coordinate closely with regional finance and commercial team to address any escalated collection matter.
• Inform manager of potential problems in the credit review process or collection process and make recommendations for process improvement.
• Perform AR reporting on overdue balances and top accounts as per request from business units.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
