This is an exciting role for someone with prior claims/demurrage background and looking to grow into a commercial vessel operator or cargo operator in the future.

Main Responsibilities:

• Calculate and invoice demurrage and voyage-related claims incurred for each voyage, promptly with required documentation in accordance with the terms and conditions of the governing charter party
• Negotiate effectively to pursue collections of outstanding demurrages and claims escalation
• Liaise with Shipping Operators and/ or Master and/ or Agent for missing information or documentation and follow up proactively
• Record demurrage and claims and ensure compliance with electronic filing process
• Prepare weekly and monthly demurrage reports Track, highlight and provide feedback on unfavourable clauses to Freight Traders
• Develop solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to maintain smooth collection of outstanding claims, including traveling to meet external stakeholders, if necessary
• Collate relevant correspondences for Legal Counsel or P&I Club review on claims that need to be turned over for legal recovery
• Evaluate validity of claims and take initiative to stay updated on new rulings, new clauses, how Charter party provisions are changing, etc. through seminars and relevant industry events

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in the Tanker or Oil & Gas Trading industry.
• Strong understanding of the various charter parties, commercial contracts, laytime and demurrage provisions and the terminology associated with the petroleum industry.
• Strong understanding of all time-related and post-deal claims.
• Strong analytical and communication skills Self-motivated, Positive minded, Resolution focused.
• Good knowledge of Shipping Operations and/or Law.
• Be able to communicate in both English and Mandarin to communicate with China counterparts.

Key job responsibilities
* Interact at the CxO/VP level, as well as with developers and technical architects, to ease adoption, develop pipeline, secure lighthouse customers, drive top-line revenue, and explore strategic partnerships.
* Become a trusted business advisor within customer accounts through Technical Thought Leadership.
* Develop and deploy programs that leverage AWS Field teams, as well as technology and consulting partner channels.

About the team
The WWSO team helps customers adopt our newest and most advantageous technologies. We are technology specialists. The WWSO Startup team is a team dedicated to helping Startups scale quickly and cost-effectively on AWS. We want Startups to grow better when they choose AWS and we make it easier by recommending the right technologies and then by helping Startups get up and running quickly.

This position specifically is part of the WWSO Startup team, where you will be a Technical Business Developer that helps Startups adopt AWS’ technologies with a focus on GenAI, among others. You will 1/Be the best storytellers and technologists, 2/Work with the most promising Startups, 3/Scale tech knowledge via products, programs, and the AWS Field, and 4/Gather critical Startup feedback to inform our product roadmaps.

Basic qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant GTM, Sales, or Consulting experience.
• 5+ years of technology domain experience in LLM, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and GenAI related fields.
• Experience driving partnerships and developing joint go-to-market strategies with AI/ML model providers.
• Hands-on understanding of open source software, deep learning, and other ML algorithms with hands-on experience running pilots and POCs to demonstrate capabilities to prospects.
• Bachelor’s Degree Required.

Preferred qualifications

• Startup background and experience at a VC or PE-backed firm in a Product, BD, or Sales Executive capacity.
• Established track record of building rapport with Startup executives and closing strategic deals.
• Familiarity with open-source software used by Startups and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
• Strong data-based storytelling skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with Startup executives and developers.
• Recognized industry expertise in primary discipline(s) with proven public speaking prowess.
• Cloud expertise as demonstrated by one or more cloud certifications.
• A Advanced degree highly preferred, especially an MBA or MS in CS or Engineering.

Demand & Supply Specialist

• Salary: Up to $3,550/month (12 months) + Variable Bonus (3-4 months)
• Location: Tanjong Pagar
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:45 PM
• Eligibility: Min degrees in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related fields. No experience required as training will be provided

Job Summary:

• Manage monthly operations, working with Sales and Production teams to maximize sales.
• Ensure orders for production and parts procurement are correct and timely.
• Analyze the market and sales for the assigned country.

Responsibilities:

1. Country PIC (Person in Charge):Handle all Demand & Supply (D&S) matters for the assigned country.
   Understand the market, sales trends, competitors, and customer segments.
   
2. Plant PIC:Evaluate and place monthly production orders.
   Negotiate with production teams to meet sales targets.
   
3. Vehicle Allocation:Allocate vehicles to different countries based on production capabilities.
   Ensure maximum sales and profitability.
   
4. Order Management:Ensure the sales team inputs correct orders on time.
   Submit orders to the production plant before monthly deadlines.
