The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for the creation of marketing materials to connect with the University’s stakeholders, foster a sense of community, and mobilize financial support, cultivating a culture of philanthropy that enhances our ability to secure the resources necessary for continued excellence in education and research.

Responsibilities:

Development and production of marketing materials

• Develop and produce marketing materials for advancement campaigns in a variety of formats, including print, video, and digital, for major gifts and annual giving campaigns.

Management of crisis communications

• Working closely with the Lead, Marketing Communitions on issues and crisis communications in fundraising-related matters such that the University’s communication response is coordinated, timely, and effective.

Development and implementation of communication strategies for principal and major gifts         

• Draft compelling messaging and materials that resonate with donors, including proposals, case statements, and campaign collateral.

Provision of communications support for the Chief Development Officer (CDO)

• Consistent and communications support for the CDO on critical areas including research, speech writing, publicity, and stakeholder engagement. Work with the Lead to ensure that the University's messaging is clear, consistent, and impactful.

Requirements:

• Degree in Visual Communications, Graphic Design or a related design field

• Excellent design and visual marketing skills with 2 to 3 years’ working experience in design
