The EmPaTHy Programme aims to leverage on technology to transform delivery of patient care in primary care by focusing on preventive care, data‐driven precision medicine, and people‐centred care. You will be required to facilitate and support research activities, particularly in the area of research collaborations within the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre (AMC). You will be involved in the review of contracts involving research projects and initiatives to develop the SingHealth Duke-NUS AMC as a top-ranked one.

With the increasing setup of more research strategic programmes and/or research platforms at SingHealth HQ, you will be required to support their operations and facilitation of all the research agreements. The activities include but are not limited to budget development, stakeholder management, project funding submissions and post Award administration.

The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) will report to Manager, Research and Translational Innovation (RTIO) and will work closely within the RTIO team, as well as stakeholders and external partners of the SingHealth Community Hospitals (SCH). He/ she will implement RTIO’s 5-year strategic plan for the development of research and translational innovation in SCH and the intermediate and long-term care sector.

The CRC will perform literature review, assist in the writing of manuscripts, study recruitment, and obtain informed consent and conduct research activities in accordance to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Human Biomedical Research Act (HBRA). He/ She will perform research data and biological sample collection according to research Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and specific procedures depending on study needs. He/ She will clean, prepare and calibrate research equipment as needed by studies and as per SOPs and SCH Infection Control policies. He/ She will manage research study database and ensure accuracy and completeness of all data collected in study reports. He/ She will participate in the preparation of abstracts, posters and manuscripts for dissemination of study results and perform other duties, as and when assigned.

A Research Assistant (RA) for initiating and managing chronic disease database.

Job Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the following:

1. Initiating and managing chronic disease database
2. To approach patients to invite them to participate in ethics approved clinical research studies, if required.
3. Write and review research papers, present research outcomes and develop collaborations.
4. Contribute to project management and provide guidance to more junior researchers.
5. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

· Data entry, data management, and data analysis

· Supervision of student researchers and interns

· Quantitative and qualitative data analysis

· Manuscript writing and submission

· Other research-related tasks (e.g. literature review, grant and ethics applications)

Expected results:

· Able to initiate and manage research cohort well, including managing ethics approval, audit, research collaboration agreements, and grant claims procedures

· Screen and recruit eligible patients meeting recruitment targets per week for each cohort

· Manage data entry and data analysis in a reliable and expedient manner

· Able to support grant writing and manuscript writing for submission to journals
