Main Activities:

• Full spectrum of HR Lifecycle: Compensation & Benefit Administration, Onboarding/Offboarding, Performance Management, Disciplinary & Grievance etc.

Compensation & Benefit:

• Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing according to specified timeline.
• Review & streamline Pay policy & processes for better efficiency.
• Contribute to the development of Salary benchmarking and internal salary structure.

Work Pass Management:

• Handle work passes and quota administration.

Onboarding/Off Boarding:

• Prepare the necessary onboarding materials for new employees.
• Co-ordinate with inter-departments for new employees’ orientation.
• Conduct exit interview & Clearance for resigned employees.
• Prepare the necessary documentations for offboarding.

HRIS Administration:

• Manage employee data and records by ensuring accurate and up-to-date data entry, maintaining data integrity and confidentiality, organizing employee records.
• Generate reports and analytics from Infotech system.

General HR Administration:

• Consolidation of daily personnel movements, prepare Weekly & Monthly HR reports.
• Annual Income Tax filing & submission of Government Paid Leave
• Provide HR support to the business units.
• Any other HR Projects as assigned.

Requirement

• Min Diploma with 3 years of relevant HR working experience
• Proficient in Infotech system
• Proficient in Excel functions and payroll functions
• Familiar with Employment Act and other statutory requirements and legislation

Primary responsibilities

• Conduct concurrent in vivo pharmacology studies according to the experimental design.
• Work with a team on a mouse model of an eye disease to monitor animal health, administer drugs and measure responses to treatment, and perform injections and necropsies to harvest ocular tissues.
• Follow IACUC protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) and execute tasks independently.
• Communicate and coordinate with other scientists in the team to draft, finalize, and implement study protocols.

Requirements

• A Master’s degree in Veterinary Science, Biology, Biomedical Science, Pharmacology or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of experience working with mice in various experiments needing drug application and monitoring responses.
• Expertise with rodent handling, restraining, dosing and necropsy is essential.
• Knowledge of eye anatomy and physiology will be beneficial, but not mandatory.
• Willingness to learn new techniques to monitor eye condition.
• Ability to mentor junior scientists on best practices in the laboratory would be highly valued.

Research Associate/Assistant (Urban Environmental Sustainability)

The Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities at the Singapore University of Technology and Design is seeking a full-time Research Associate or (Senior) Research Assistant, to join a growing research team focusing on addressing critical urban environmental sustainability challenges.

Successful applicants will contribute to a project that applies a transdisciplinary approach to investigate individuals’ discounting of the impact of climate change in Singapore, and how we can use the everyday shared experience of urban heat to unlock pathways for addressing the inertia towards climate action.

Candidates should possess a strong interest in transdisciplinary research and urban environmental sustainability. Expertise in quantitative research methods and a background in social and/or behavioral science will be a plus.

This position is ideal for individuals interested in pursuing an academic/industry research career.

The candidate will be expected to:

• Conduct and write literature reviews
• Participate in fieldwork and data collection
• Contribute towards quantitative and/or qualitative data analyses
• Assist in the preparation of manuscripts and reports for publications
• Collaborate and communicate research updates with both internal and external stakeholders
