As a Naval Architect at SMIT Salvage you fulfill a pivotal role between the office and the projects and the world is your working area. When a ship is in distress, you go with a team consisting of, among other things, a Salvage Master, Salvage Superintendent to the place of disaster. As a Naval Architect you provide preparatory and executive shipbuilding support in the realization of both salvage operations and wreck removal projects, such as the wreck removal of the Baltic Ace. The RMF/DFS Professional assists the Design Manager in specific areas pertaining to quality standards applicable at construction site.

(B) Essential Job Functions:

The RMF/DFS Professional is responsible, but not limited to, the following:

• Have a degree accepted by Professional Engineers Board (PEB) or Board of Architects and construction related degree accepted by Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers (SISV) and Society of Project Managers (SPM).
• Reasonable exposure in safety and health for construction especially on transportation infrastructure projects in a similar nature to this Contract.

About the role:

• The Mechanical Design Engineer (Project Engineer) is in charge of supervision of studies and works for design office activities which include but are not limited to the following:
• Apply procedures for the management of internal projects, and MOC implementation, according to safety policies, plant policies, and regulations.
• Coordinate MOC implementation and participate in following up closely on MOCs/projects from operation, Maintenance, HSE, Process, contractors, and various stakeholders.
• Perform duties of on-call management.
• If needed, supports other technical departments with his trained skills.
