4) Compensation and Benefits:

5) Operations:

• Monitor changes in labour laws and industry-specific regulations and update HR policies in accordance with Employment Act and Government Regulations
• Design, implement, and optimize HR shared service and adjunct operations processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
• Identify areas for improvement and implement initiatives to enhance service quality and efficiency

7) Reports and Budgeting:

• Prepare staff reports per statutory requirements and for Management review, makes presentations to Management and staff, where necessary

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor degree / Graduate Diploma in HR Management / Diploma in Learning and Development at least 5 years of relevant experience preferably in a hospitality industry.

We are looking for a Human Resource Manager that is excited about the below Mission and Outcomes over the next 6-12 months.

Mission:

The HR Manager will play a fundamental  role in shaping a positive and inclusive workplace culture, supporting the Head of HR in delivering initiatives that enhance employee engagement, retention and development. The HR manager is also responsible for delivering seamless HR operations across all  regions with a focus on office management, employee data compliance, payroll, staff training, coordinating and reviewing engagement surveys and benefits programs. 

Outcomes: 

1. Ensure 100% accurate and timely payroll processing, In collaboration with the Finance department, across all regions and resolving any payroll-related discrepancies 

2. Maintain accuracy with zero to two data errors each month by managing and maintaining employee data, ensuring all employee contracts, benefits, and personal data are up-to-date on a weekly basis, accurate and securely stored in the regional HRIS and the HR masterlist

3. Achieve 90% office capacity in our 3 Singapore offices from Monday to Friday and create a welcoming work environment ,including stocking pantry supplies, managing the biometric system for employee access and working with vendors for cleaning, aircon servicing, and other office needs  and to resolve other office related issues promptly

About the interview process

The successful candidate will participate in the below interview stages. 

It might seem like a lot - but fear not - we come prepared! We anticipate the process to last no more than 3 weeks from start to finish depending on your availability.

Whether the interviews are held over video call or in person will depend on your location and the role. 

Introductory call

• A ~30 minute video call with a member of our HR team to discuss your application and get a better understanding of your experience and expectations for the role

Project or case study or technical test

• If it’s a project, you’ll have 1 week to complete a short assignment related to what you’ll actually be required to do in your first month on the job. You’ll then present some slides/ designs/ a doc/ an excel model/ some code to a few members of the team, followed by Q&A

• If it’s a case study, there’s nothing to prepare.  You’ll have a ~45-60 minute chat with the Hiring Manager, where he or she will give you some real-life challenges that this role faces, and will ask for your approach to solving them

JOB DIMENSION (SCOPE)

• Assist in the recruitment and selection process, including conducting interviews, and coordinating onboarding/offboarding

The incumbent will receive comprehensive 12-month exposure and hands-on experience in all HR functions at both local and regional levels, as well as task-based project assignments, with the goal of preparing the incumbent for future leadership as the head of HR & Admin (HRA) at the Indonesia Office. You will be part of the Corporate Development Division in KidSTART Singapore Ltd. (KSL) tasked to provide the full suite of HR services spanning the full employee lifecycle from recruitment, payroll, performance management to learning and development to support the organisation’s manpower needs. You will partner with business groups to develop and implement HR programmes and services that are critical towards achieving KSL’s vision, mission and strategic thrusts.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, including data input, calculation of wages, deductions and taxes.
• Ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries, bonuses, allowances, and other payroll-related payments.
• Review and reconcile payroll reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.
• Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees.
• Keep updated on employment legislation, tax regulations, and statutory requirements to ensure compliance.
• Prepare payroll-related reports for management, government agencies, and auditors as required.

Competencies required

Functional/Technical Competencies

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in the area of Human Resource
• Preferably a Degree in Human Resource, Psychology, Business or related disciplines, or with relevant HR experience.
• Knowledge of the Singapore labour laws and related legislations e.g. Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), CPF Act, etc., would be advantageous
• Up to date with the latest HR analytics and digitalisation tools in the HR space to support HR planning and enhance HR functions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel.
