Jobs Description

- Responsible for the maintenance of the aircraft of Japan Airlines, Japan's leading airline, to ensure that the base maintenance of the aircraft at Changi Airport is appropriate and fully meets the company's high safety standards, in order to ensure that passengers have a safe flight.

- Based on extensive knowledge and practical skills of aircraft operated by Japan Airlines, as well as Japanese aviation laws and regulations, responsible for auditing the quality of aircrafts' base maintenance that the company executes in collaboration with ST Engineering Aerospace Services Co Pte Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “STEASC”).

- Review and approve repair plans prepared by STEASC for defects founded, based on knowledge of the aircraft and comprehensive awareness of Japan Airline's aircraft maintenance standards.

- Audit STEASC's daily operations and communicate with them to ensure that the aircraft maintenance process fully meets the high standards required by Japan Airlines to ensure passenger safety.

- In the event of an aircraft trouble during maintenance, quickly take the lead of emergency response in cooperation with STEASC and Japan headquarters.

Job requirements

- At least 15 years of working experience in an airline as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer.

- At least 10 years of experience of base maintenance of wide body aircrafts, Boeing 787, 777, 767, and Airbus 350.

- Possess JCAB Class 1 Engineer Certificate.

- Possess a valid Class 3 driving license.

- Comprehensive knowledge on Japanese aviation laws and regulations.

- Diploma in engineering or a relevant degree.

- Japanese communication skill of JPLT N1 or equivalent is required for this post, for accurate and prompt communication and direction to the relevant departments at the Tokyo head office, in the event of an urgent aircraft trouble.

About the Industry Development Office Unit

The IDO unit develops strategies and programmes to strengthen the business competitiveness of the Singapore design sector in the global market. We achieve this through supporting the building of unique value propositions with deep research, augmenting business capabilities, and profiling for internationalisation opportunities.

Responsibilities

This role reports to the Deputy Director of IDO and your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Focal strategies to guide industry development:

• Lead and oversee the development of strategies to grow and develop the Singapore design ecosystem to be globally unique, relevant and competitive. This includes support for design businesses to capture new opportunities in the future of sustainable design and design for care, enabled by emerging technologies. Other focal areas may surface as the team engages the industry. Your starting focus will be on sustainable design.

Internationalisation and Profiling:

• Lead the development and implementation of strategies to support Singapore design businesses in internationalisation and be continually aware of global design and business trends to assess appropriate interventions in a rapidly changing business landscape.
• This may include organising a Singapore designers showcase at an international platform like the Milan Design Week or SXSW, along with the generation of international business leads and media coverage, as well as a return showcase in Singapore.

Period Contract and Framework Agreement (PCFA):

• Lead the Dsg team to maintain as well as develop new Period Contracts and Framework Agreement (PCFA) for whole-of-government (WOG) to procure design related services.

Engagement with Internal and External Stakeholders:

• Develop an in-depth understanding of, and characterise, the state of Singapore design and its evolving business needs and aspirations, across the disciplines of architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, urban design and town planning, fashion design, furniture design, visual communications, as well as multi-disciplinary design and emerging practices like service design and experience design.
• Work closely with key stakeholders to identify appropriate cross-collaborations in developing the industry and providing holistic support. Key stakeholders include other units within Dsg, government agencies, design trade associations, and any other leading industry players.

Team Management:

• As a team manager, lead budget management and a dynamic team to achieve work targets. Beyond supervision, your leadership will make a significant impact on team success by inspiring collaboration, fostering individual growth, and shaping a positive work environment.

Requirements

To meet the challenges of this role, you must be/have:

• At least 8 years of relevant work experience in industry development or design management
• At least 5 years of leadership responsibilities, with proven skills in leading projects and project teams
• Have a background or degree preferably in business administration, design management or any design-related fields
• Experience in event and project management, client management and procurement
• Familiar with the design and creative ecosystem, especially in Singapore
• Strong written and oral communication skills to synthesise thoughts and properly convey ideas
• Prepared to work under tight deadlines and pressure

DIRECTOR, CONSULTING

DETAILS OF JOB:

• Setting up and running of Workplace Strategy and Change Management Projects. This includes:

1. Overseeing, leading and guiding the sales and delivery of workplace strategy and change management program. This will include some level of delivery, such as running the C-Suite Interviews, Senior Staff Workshops, Online Surveys, Focus Group Discussions, etc
2. Overseeing, leading, guiding, and coaching more junior consultants as they are on-boarded and learn the requisite skills, and helping to develop our existing team.
3. Collaborating with the JLL regional and global Consulting leads.
4. Contributing your experience, ideas and innovations to the team and seeking that of the team in return.
5. Reporting on and presenting the findings from the Data Collection and Engagement Processes, typically in PowerPoint. We are a lean team, so comfort with some hands-on preparation of collateral is expected.

• Collaborating with other subject matter experts including transaction management and project management.
• Based in Singapore, with flexibility for international travel across the Asia Pacific region at reasonably short notice.
• Reporting to one of our Consulting Leads regionally.

JOB SPECIFICATION:

• Academic Background: As a minimum tertiary qualification in Architecture, Interior Design, Business, Finance and Economics, Communications Skills, Organizational Psychology or similar.
  MBA an advantage.
• Personal & Professional Background: Extensive evidence of working internationally in a multi-national/multi-cultural context (e.g.: living and working overseas, working locally on projects overseas).
• Experience: The ideal candidate will have 9-20 years of relevant working experience covering some aspect of the workplace arena, such as: a leading role in workplace-related design, transformation, change, office design and fit out, change and communications manager, user/human experience.
• Desirable Skills: The candidate should have some will have a combination of analytical, interpersonal, and creative/artistic skills. For example:

1. Comfortable with working with concrete data as well as ambiguous ‘people’ issues
2. Evidence of collaboration across multiple disciplines to be demonstrated
3. Good interpersonal skills to lead workshops and engage 1:1 with regional/global C-suite
4. Experience presenting to/engaging with C-suite
5. WELL certification desirable
6. Good standard of spoken and written English to write reports and review newsletters
7. Comfort with data and spreadsheets (e.g.: Excel, Tableau, PowerBI) an advantage
8. Strong graphical skills an advantage
9. Proficiency in a second Asian language (e.g.: Mandarin) an advantage

• Conduct needs assessment survey through outreach and/or engagement
• Organise and conduct active ageing programmes to the elderly in the community
• Befriend service users through engagement activities and home visits
• Implement new programme and/or services for services users based on needs.
• Conduct programme evaluation for all regular programmes and initiate enhancements/improvements
• Coordinate and manage stakeholders’ communications for programmes and services to services users.
• Able to work independently

Job Requirements

• Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in any field, preferably with experience in working with elderly clients in the community setting.
• Relevant working experiences in healthcare or social service sector.
• Possess ability to meet targets and deadlines with efficient organisation and time management skills.
• Possess adaptability to find ways of solving and/or pre-empting problems

The Role

Veeva’s Employee Success (HR) team is growing and we are looking for an experienced HR leader to help scale our team across Asia. As the Director of Asia Employee Success, you will be a player-coach, working closely with leaders across China, Japan, Korea, India, and APAC on all people-related topics. You will be responsible for growing the HR business partner team and operations across the region, in addition to executing talent management projects and programs.

What You'll Do

• Drive the implementation of HR programs, process, and talent management initiatives with guidance from global HR leadership and regional leaders
