Job Summary -:
Lead and oversee the sales and marketing team. To provide efficient and effective, business and customer development and day to day sales operations management to achieve the budget and profitability for the organization.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
1. Business & Customer Development
i) To identify opportunities to increase profitability by targeting new customers and/ or increasing business with existing customer
ii) Management of corporate accounts by ensuring they are provided with efficient and high level service
iii) Management of sales territory plan
iv) Tender Management
v) Development of existing and new trade lanes
vi) Carry out market research in order to build market intelligence data base and pricing strategy
vii) Develop, launch and monitor sales campaigns
2. Sales Staff Development & Management
i) To ensure all sales staff receives required training I all systems, policies, procedures, and practices
ii) To set and provide aggressive sales targets to sales team
iii) To review sales staff performance and include training programmes for their growth and development
iv) Provide leadership to the sales team by assisting and encouraging them to look for innovative ways of performing their functions more productively
v) Manage recruitment, absence, retention and rewards of the sales team with the support of HR
3. Manage Day to Day Operations
i) Set weekly sales targets for self and team
ii) To visit the top customers as per requirement
iii) To ensure at all times the department is adequately staffed so as to achieve the budgeted and profitability targets
iv) Conduct & participate in weekly/monthly sales department meeting to review performance and targets achieved, and steps going forwards
v) Maintain relationship with our principal carriers and other main suppliers in helping to achieve growth
vi) Achieve the sales targets and provide regular reporting to Country Manager
Requirement -:
1) Minimum educational qualification required Diploma level and above.
2) A minimum of 8 years freight forwarding LCL with 5 years experience as Manager.
3) A great attitude and self motivated individual
4) Excellent written and communication skills
5) Well versed with MS office and other computer software
