This position reports to the Business Analyst Head. The key role is doing the bridging between business problems and technology solutions, providing key insights that drive process improvements and system efficiencies within organizations. You need to analyse business needs, document requirements, user stories, business process flows and translate them into system specifications that IT technical teams can implement. This role is critical in ensuring that technology initiatives align with business strategies and add value by enhancing performance and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Understanding and documenting the business requirements of stakeholders to guide the creation of effective technology solutions
• Translating business needs into system requirements and ensuring that these are clearly communicated to IT solutions architect or system analyst teams
• Conducting thorough business process analysis to identify areas for improvement and optimization
• Provide wireframe of the new systems, including documenting the user stories
• Facilitating communication between business units and IT teams to ensure mutual understanding and project alignment
• Developing and executing test plans to ensure that systems and processes are functioning as intended

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or relevant field.
• A minimum of 3 years’ hand-on experience as a business systems analyst.

Technical Skills

• Systems Knowledge: Understanding various operating systems and databases
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with software development practices and software like SQL and PostgreSQL databases, ERP systems, and business intelligence applications.
• Data Analysis: Skills in data analysis and modelling tools are crucial. Knowledge of analytics software, such as Microsoft Excel, Tableau, or Power BI, can be particularly beneficial.
• Programming: While not always mandatory, programming languages like SQL, Java, or Python can be advantageous.

Business Skills

• Business Knowledge: Strong grasp of business processes and how different departments function.
• Project Management: Experience with project management methodologies like Agile or Scrum. Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) can be a plus.

- Coordinate pre tour work, which include planning of tours, tour logistics, liaising with tour guides and external vendors
- Coordinate post tour work such as collection of customer feedback.
- Ensure that tours run smoothly and maintain high standard of tours
- Provide feedback and work with internal teams (e.g sales) to enhance customer experience
- Assist in ground management by providing support to tour guides and operational staff.
- Involve in searching and scheduling of manpower
- Manage inventory tracking and ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are available, well-maintained, and ready for use for each tour
- Conduct thorough risk assessment and develop risk management strategies
- Represent the company and interact with clients in a professional and presentable manner.
- Assist in procurement of goods and services required for tours and develop partnerships with suppliers
- Assist in product development and development-based projects.
- Monitor, track and report on feedback and online reviews (e.g. Google My Business, TripAdvisor, Facebook).

We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team for a Pop-Up Booth selling traditional Japanese Kimonos at Takashimaya Shopping Centre from 11th November to 25th November 2024. This is a short-term, part-time role where you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, assisting with product sales, and promoting Japanese cultural heritage through high-quality kimonos.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner to assist them in selecting and purchasing products.
• Sales: Actively promote and upsell a range of Japanese kimonos and accessories, meeting daily and weekly sales targets.
• Product Knowledge: Learn and share knowledge about the products, their origins, craftsmanship, and cultural significance.
• Cash Register: Handle transactions accurately and process payments through point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Merchandising: Ensure the booth is well-organized, stocked, and visually appealing at all times.
• Stock Management: Assist in the restocking of products, inventory checks, and ensuring product availability.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive working environment.

Important Notes:

• Sales Experience: Prior experience in sales, preferably in a retail environment.

Preferred Requirements:

• Apparel Industry Experience: Prior experience in retail or sales in the apparel or fashion industry is a strong advantage.
