Key Responsibilities:

EOS invites applications for a Research Fellow position in tephra hazard research relating to near real-time eruption detection, characterisation, and dispersal modelling. The main focus on this project revolves around regional infrasound detection and identification of volcanic activity. The successful candidate will work in a vibrant scientific department, participating in strong collaborations and frequent interaction with members of the volcano group and stakeholders in Singapore and the region.

The candidate will work under the supervision of Associate Professors Benoit Taisne and Susanna Jenkins with a team of international scientists on the integration of different eruption detection, characterisation, and modelling components. The candidate will work in a team to develop a framework that integrates multiple strands of data to ultimately automate volcanic event detection, characterisation and modelling of the resulting tephra hazard.

With this role, you will be working on all the portfolio of Sensory Qual methodologies we have developed at MMR for the last 15 years to help support our clients in designing ideal product and pack briefs to fit an idea / concept / positioning (being innovation or renovation), in understanding sensorially active characteristics during the consumption journey or in developing the complete guardrails for innovation working alongside our qual and brand consultant colleagues. You will therefore work across all MMR existing client teams and new ones too, which will provide a lot of variety in the product categories researched, as well as challenges. 1. Develop and build competencies in process and design engineering for ISCE2

2. As part of ISCE2 management team, contribute to building a mission and values driven organization

3. Lead and deliver Low-carbon Technology Translation Testbed (LCT3) as a national infrastructure for local and international partnerships

• Understand LCT3 objectives, operating philosophy and how LCT3 fits into the wider ecosystem to support Singapore's Net-Zero ambitions.
• Develop a clear scope that the LCT3 initiative can plan and mobilise against and work with agency stakeholders to set KPIs for the long term sustenance of the facility
• Plan and manage budget for LCT3
• Lead multi-disciplinary and multi-organization LCT3 team
• Understand complexities of the low-carbon technology ecosystem in Singapore and play lead role in stakeholder management amongst industry partners, IHLs and government agencies
• Engage, attract and bring in these stakeholders to participate in LCT3
