Finance Director ( Hospitality)

Summary

The Finance Director will lead the Group finance team in all finance and accounting activities. They will assist the CEO & Founder with leadership of the wider business, and work cross-functionally with the other leaders in the business to progress the Group towards its wider commercial goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership & Overall

• Lead all finance functions, across Singapore, Hong Kong and Bali.

People

• Lead the recruitment and selection of finance team members.

Administration

Roles & Responsibilities

Overall Job Role:

Spearhead the EduTrust certification renewal and Workskills Qualification (WSQ) accreditation and other quality certifications subscribed to by the organisation required by the governing bodies.

Academic work involved occasionally teaching in a couple of the courses

Other functions include supporting in areas of student recruitment; all pre and post enrolment activities; and all the way to students’ completion of courses.

Job Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Maintain all requirements under CPE's Enhanced Registration Framework (ERF) and EduTrust certification. This includes enforcing policies and procedures and initiates corrective actions. Responsible for entire quality assurance of edutrust procedures and proper documentation.

2. Stay abreast of latest updates/changes in regulatory (SSG, CPE, ICA etc) requirements, policies and the Private Education Act.

3. Contributes information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; prepares and completes action plans; implements programs to improve overall productivity, quality, and customer-service standards

4.Prepares quality documentation and reports by collating, analysing and summarising information and trends including processes and recommending necessary changes to the CEO

5. To submit Course Proposal for the application of funding, course accreditation and new course applications.

6. Responsible for smooth operation of course delivery and business viability of the organisation.

Secondary Responsibilities:

Lecturers Management as well as to teach in a couple of modules in courses. Spearhead and Participate in relevant corporate activities and initiatives as a team member in Management.

Assist students to obtain jobs by organising employer interview events, etc.

Qualification & Experiences :

Preferably a Singapore Registered Nurse with training qualifications such as ACTA/ACLP. Or having worked in private education institutes with edutrust knowledge and experinces.

We provide the following services based on a sole agency agreement with DAIHATSU DIESEL MFG CO., LTD.

• Sales of internal combustion engine-related products
• Sales support
• Maintenance service of internal combustion engine

In order to expand our business, we are looking for a Deputy Managing Director who has experience in sales, marketing and promotion of medium-speed diesel engines/Dual Fuel (LNG+Diesel) engines, Alternative Fuel engines such as Methanol/Ammonia/Hydrogen and SCR system as well as experience in management of the organization.

Job Description:

1. To manage the Company as Deputy Managing Director by assisting the Managing Director
2. To do any sales, marketing and promotion activities of medium-speed engines for marine use and land use
3. To understand the customer and market demand and become a bridge between the customers and each department of the Company.
4. To coordinate with other departments of the Company such as design, production, quality management ,purchasing, after service and finance
5. To support after-sales service including sales of spare parts and service jobs on board/at site.
6. To support the Account department/General Affairs department
7. Open to going on long business trips to India, Bangladesh, Philippines, Middle East etc. for power plant projects.
8. Open to being appointed as Managing Director in the near future.
9. Open to being appointed as President of the subsidiary in the Philippines in the near future.

Job Requirements:

1. Minimum 20 years’ job experience of sales in a manufacturer of relevant custom-made Machinery fields with basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering, production control, quality management, project management,importing/exporting of heavy-duty equipment and international commercial transaction such as letter of credit and sales contract.
2. Minimum 10 years’ job experience of sales of medium-speed diesel engines
3. Minimum 3 years’ job experience of sales of Dual Fuel engine
4. Minimum 4 years’ job experience in the foreign countries as expat
5. Minimum 20 years’ job experience in overseas markets.
6. Good communication skills, highly motivated to inspire a team & a good team player.
7. Good connection with international shipowners and shipbuilders.
8. A strong commitment to safety/compliance/social responsibility procedures are essentially needed.
9. Business level of English and Japanese language proficiency at speaking and writing to liaise with worldwide with emphasis on Japanese-speaking customers. (Requirement qualification: JLPT 1)
10. To have the qualifications or licenses equivalent to Japanese public license and examination below mentioned.
