The successful incumbent is responsible for the business operations in the Asia Zone. A brief description is as follows:-

Asia Zone

• Freyssinet has a long historical presence in Asia, comprising of Freyssinet and related companies namely, Reinforced Earth either through adhoc permanent Joint Venture or operate directly under the Freyssinet umbrella.
• It has permanent Business Units (BU) in South Korea, Hong Kong/Macau, Vietnam, Philippines, India, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia/Brunei and Indonesia. Each of these countries is helmed by a Business Unit Manager reporting to the Zone Director.
• The annual turnover is in the region of 180 MSGD and employs approximately 2400 employees across the Business Units.
• Freyssinet is also active in other countries in the region depending on business opportunities.

Functions and Role of Zone Director

The Zone Director oversees the following:

• Manage the 9 BU Managers.
• Manage a small regional team.
• Ensure that the group requirements are fully implemented i.e. Ethics, Operations notably through tender reviews, cost control, contracts and claims, HSE, quality, HR, etc.
• Ensure the profitability and cashflow follow up in relation with regional CFO.
• Ensure the development and follow up the Strategic Plans in the BU.
• Ensure full development of group strategic activity (structural repair notably) either organically or through acquisition.
• Ensure proper QC implementation and HR development in the BU.

We seek to look for a suitable person with the following attributes and profile

• Civil Engineer graduated.
• Minimum 10 to 15 years of track proven record in the construction industry either as a regional director or as a BU manager ideally within a group.
• Expertise in Freyssinet’s activity notably cable structures and ideally structural repair. Additionally, good knowledge of civil works activity would be an added advantage.

• Salary Package: Basic salary up to $12,000 + Transport Allowance + AWS + Performance Bonus
• Duration: Permanent Role

Key Responsibilities

• Represent the Systems Sales Division in Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Australia, and New Zealand).
• Meet sales targets and prepare annual forecasts and budgets for the SEA region.
• Lead, coach, and support Sales Managers and Agent FS representatives.
• Serve as the primary sales contact for South-East Asia.
• Collaborate with our Australian agent for business development of company products and solutions in Australia.
• Communicate with Segment Leaders and internal company functions as per company standards.
• Identify new market opportunities, increase brand awareness, and attract new customers.
• Manage and develop customer relationships, discuss future projects, and understand equipment needs.
• Generate leads and identify potential opportunities.
• Review customer terms, negotiate agreements, and finalize contracts.
• Follow sales procedures and ensure compliance with customer orders.
• Compile and manage documentation for new projects, ensuring it is available to project management and engineering.
• Plan and control sales and marketing activities, manage resources, and ensure timely reporting.
• Organize and maintain documents, proposals, and electronic files.
• Assist in developing market strategy as per the company’s mid-range plan.
• Gather market information on conditions, requirements, and customer needs.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and maintain an effective pricing strategy.
• Offer leadership to colleagues and subordinates.
• Report any non-compliance with company policy or procedures to the supervisor or management.
• Regularly use CRM to update accounts, inquiries, quotations, visit reports, and opportunities.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Previous sales experience with process gas compressors or pump products.
• Sales experience with exposure to the Southeast Asian market.
• Demonstrates sound knowledge of the role and the technical systems, applications, and equipment used.
• Background in gas compression, engines, pumps, and rotating equipment, or relevant industry.
• Background in hydrogen energy or renewable energy sector is advantageous.
