We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Operational Safety Manager to oversee and ensure the operational safety of our fleet of autonomous prime movers. As the Safety Person in Charge, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing safety procedures and protocols, conducting safety training, and monitoring and improving safety performance across our operations. This position requires exceptional knowledge of safety practices, strong process and procedural writing abilities, and the ability to be present on the ground during 24/7 operations.

Role responsibilities

• Develop, document and implement comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures for our autonomous vehicle fleet, with a focus on operational safety.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, standards, and guidelines, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices.
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety requirements and considerations into all aspects of fleet operations.
• Provide safety training to employees and contractors, ensuring they are well-versed in safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and safe work practices.
• Investigate and analyze accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and develop and implement corrective and preventive measures to mitigate future risks.
• Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics, identify trends, and implement strategies to continually improve safety performance.
• Collaborate with customers’ regulatory team and participate in safety-related audits and inspections.
• Provide on-the-ground support and supervision during 24/7 operations, ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Foster a culture of safety by promoting and encouraging active employee engagement and participation in safety initiatives.

Required experience

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other relevant safety certifications strongly preferred.
• Proven experience in operational safety management, preferably in the autonomous vehicle industry or a similar high-risk environment.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices, such as OSHA, ISO 26262, and SAE J3016.
• Excellent writing skills with the ability to develop clear and concise safety policies, procedures, and training materials.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting safety audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Ability to analyze data and metrics to identify trends, assess safety performance, and recommend improvement strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and regulatory agencies.
• Flexibility to work on-site during 24/7 operations and respond to safety-related incidents or emergencies when required.
• Knowledge of heavy automobile, autonomous vehicle technologies and robotics is a plus.

• Knowledge on Aruba Clearpass, Fortinet & Palo Alto Firewalls are preferred experience.
• Planning, Monitoring and Delivery of operations tasks timely and successfully
• Understand the support contract types for each customer and deliver service based on their agreed scope and SLA
• Understand the process and practices related to support Tools, Templates and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Building relation with vendors and partners for product support problems and managing customer expectations accordingly.
• Driving all escalations on technical grounds and manage customers accordingly for the resolutions.
• Maintain team bonding with all the support engineers and mentoring on support delivery.
• Build and develop standard operating procedures, technical documentation, knowledge base.
• Ability to conduct postmortem and root cause analysis to clearly identify the issue and develop prevention plan/strategy is a key requirement.
• Proficient in producing RCA and IR reports for all high severity/priority incidents and presenting customer with confidence.
• Involve actively with cross-function teams to engage and co-ordinate to represent Logicalis as One and improve support functionality.

The Individual and their Experience:

• Minimum 8+ years of relevant experiences in Networking technologies with not les than 5 years of experience in Network Operations as a Lead.
• Intermediate level of understanding on Networking concepts and experience with multi-vendor networking devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, NAC, etc.
• Proven track record of leading operations and customer management with effective communication and presentation.
• Strong, smart-working attitude with ability to work well under pressure and high demanding customer environment during crisis.
• Ability to clearly articulate technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences, executives and explain their impact on business both Logicalis and customer management.
• Out-of-box thinking is mandatory during escalations to manage customer, vendors, technical teams for setting right expectations and finding quick resolutions.
• Proficient in communicating and written skills in English
• Proficient in writing Incident Reports, RCA and general reporting for QBRs.
• Candidate with CCNP or equivalent technical certification.
• Candidate with ITIL Foundation certified.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to Operations & Administration Department
• Assist in administration such as order confirmation, receiving, payments, invoices and claims
• Assist in inventory management and periodical stock taking
• Work closely with interdepartments, department heads, suppliers and clients
• Administration of Warehouse Management System, SAP and other portals
• Prepare and generate periodical reports
• Any other ad hoc duties as assigned

Responsibilities:

• Effectively managing, developing, and training the service desk team.
• Ensuring that all processes used by the service desk are thoroughly documented, consistently audited, and regularly improved.
• Conducting and sharing results from service and operation performance reviews.
• Promoting the service desk with senior management and working to ensure that it is properly viewed as a core business asset.
• Coordinating and managing all relevant stakeholders, including the support desk team, customers, and other teams that are involved in service desk operations.
• Being aware of and managing the costs of running the service desks.
• Taking ownership of critical incidents, coordinating with resolution parties, and establishing effective communication between stakeholders for post-incident reviews
• Ensuring that systems, procedures, and methodologies are in place to support outstanding service delivery
• Taking accountability for service delivery performance, meeting customer expectations/SLAs, and driving future demand
• Providing accurate and regular reports to the management on performance of the service delivery
• Supervising desktop management teams (Local and Offshore) to facilitate continual improvements in the desktop environment.
• Collaborating with technical design teams to set standards for software, hardware, and security
• Making sure that anti-virus updates and patches are applied effectively and promptly.
