Join Our Team as a Senior Executive (Volunteer Engagement and Befriending Programme)
Chen Su Lan Methodist Children’s Home (CSLMCH) is dedicated to transforming the lives of children and families in need. Our mission is to foster healing, growth, and self-reliance within our community, emphasizing family reunification and improved psycho-social well-being.
As the Senior Executive for Volunteer Engagement and Befriending Programme, you will play a pivotal role in recruiting, managing, and supporting volunteers essential to our mission's success. You will collaborate closely with residents, families, and external stakeholders to facilitate healing and transformational journeys.
The job scope would be:
1. Recruitment and Matching - Identify and recruit suitable volunteers for Befriender roles, ensuring alignment with the needs of our clients.
2. Programme Development -Design and coordinate programs to support families and facilitate reunification efforts.
3. Volunteer Management - Oversee volunteers, ensuring they are equipped, engaged, and supported through effective training and ongoing development.
4. Family Engagement - Work directly with families to rebuild relationships and support restoration efforts.
5. Systems and Processes:- Establish effective systems for volunteer-client matching and ongoing support, ensuring program effectiveness and volunteer satisfaction.
6. Risk Management - Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard program integrity and participant safety.
7. Evaluation and Improvement - Continuously evaluate volunteer management policies and processes to enhance program outcomes.
8. Collaboration - Coordinate with CSLMCH departments to integrate workflows and ensure seamless communication between units and volunteers.
9. Motivation and Support - Nurture and sustain a motivated volunteer base through ongoing engagement and recognition.
10. Documentation - Maintain accurate records and monitor program outcomes to track progress and inform future initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications / Characteristics:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in volunteer management or community engagement, preferably in family services.
- Passion for serving the community and empowering volunteers to make a meaningful impact.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and engage stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of both independent work and collaboration within a team.
- Flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
