Cross Border Strategy

China being the hub of manufacturing and a key growth market with a large number of licensing partner eager to expand their business to Southeast Asian and South Asian countries, represents a large business opportunity. Position Summary

UN Global Compact Network Singapore (GCNS), the local chapter of the United Nations Global Compact, is seeking a Finance and Accounts Manager to oversee the financial operations at GCNS. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling the full financial accounts, budget planning as well as supporting senior management team in offering data-driven insights and financial guidance for decision making, and ensuring full regulatory compliance.

The successful candidate will join an active UN Global Compact local network - an ambitious team that is energised behind our mission to promote corporate sustainability and responsible business in Singapore and the region.

Responsibilities

• Handle the full set of financial accounts, ensuring that financial data from projects are entered into the books of account and reconciled every month
• Produce monthly financial statements, variance analysis and forecasting for the Management Committee, managers and other stakeholders
• Oversee the annual audit process
• Prepare annual budgets in consultation with project leads and senior management
• Coordinate the budget-setting and financial processes with project managers
• Work closely with project managers to ensure allocated budgets are closely met
• Liaise with the United Nations Global Compact Office on membership fees and quarterly reports
• Develop and execute the internal audit processes in collaboration with senior management
• Oversee grants application and donor administration, including processing of grants/donations, issuing of tax-deductible receipts and prepare the necessary submission of donor information to IRAS
• Handle statutory submissions to authorities and ensure compliance with statutory laws and financial regulations
• Manage and work with vendor to manage all the payment and receivable process ensuring we collect all the payments and accounts are paid on time
• Any other ad hoc duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• At least a Diploma in Accountancy/Finance
• CA/ACCA/CPA/ICAEW would be advantageous
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant working experience
• Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting standards and management reporting requirements
• Good analytical thought process and business acumen, able to anticipate issues and offer ideas for resolution
• Knowledge of requirements by Charities and IPC regulations is advantageous
• Experience in managing/coordinating external audit is required, and internal audit processes is advantageous
• Have a positive work ethic and determination in getting things done within tight deadlines
• Meticulous and organised, with a mature disposition to take ownership of projects and targets assigned
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Able to work within a small team dynamic
• Working beyond regular office time may be required

Job Purpose

The Regional Head of Ocean Growth is responsible for the overall OFR growth initiatives across the region. The individual guides the regional pricing strategy required to achieve the growth ambition and will drive execution of this into the countries, including the development of relevant value propositions and solution design to support the growth.

Furthermore, the role is responsible for aligning and setting a clear direction for growth in collaboration with the M&S organization. This includes all sales channels – CSI/MNC/SBC, BC, and digital. Driving the product commercial organization around OCC and RDM structures.

Main Responsibilities

1. Driving volume growth across all OFR products in close coordination with OFR Country management and regional product heads. Together with Trade Management, drive the focus on trade lanes and countries as per Trade Lane plan.

Position Overview:

This position reports to SBU Head, Dairy Ingredients and Solutions based in Singapore. The individual will work closely with Plant, shipping, and sales team.

What you will do:

• Strategic Leadership: Oversee the strategic direction and development of the nutrition division, specifically focusing on the commercialization of infant base powders from the plant in Malaysia. Ensure alignment with the company’s overall business goals.

Summary/Objective

Reporting to the General Manager (Solution Services) of JERA Asia, the principal roles of Senior Manager (Solution Business) are to lead and/or support in energy solution services (promotion and execution) and technical business development related projects.

In energy solution services, the Senior Manager is to leverage JERA’s cutting edge technology, inhouse capabilities and comprehensive energy portfolios, to package tailor-made offerings (e.g. low carbon solution, digitalization, O&M) within Asia region, contributing to JERA group’s mission/vision.

For technical business development projects, Senior Manager will liaise with JERA internal departments & external parties (clients, authorities, partners, consultants, etc.), to perform business development related tasks (e.g. FS, due diligence, OE, EPC/OEM selection).

The day-to-day work involves close coordination and collaboration with related functions (e.g. overseas IPP departments in HQ, O&M, engineering, business development, EPC/OEM, technical consultants, etc.). The individual will work directly with the GM to prioritize projects and maximize value creation associated with those projects.

Essential Functions:

· Energy solution services (promotion and execution)

- Identify customers’ needs and promote energy services available within JERA (e.g. low carbon solution, plant O&M, digitalization, plant efficiency & reliability improvement, fuel supply chain, etc.).

- Work throughout the different phases of energy solution projects (e.g. exploration, identification, solution menu presentation, evaluation, negotiation, secure new opportunities & project implementation) in conjunction with the broader JERA teams.

· Technical Business Development:

- Coordinate and manage internal teams (country local setup, regional office and Japan HQ), technical consultants, OEMs, EPCs, O&M, engineering, authorities and other project stakeholders.

- Manage & ensure schedule in timely manner & project deliverables meet high quality standard.

- Recommendation/selection of equipment, engineering consultant and contractors.

Coordinate internal and external parties to minimize execution and operational risk in implementation of services solutions. Be instrumental in managing team resources to meet energy solution business plan and objectives

Competencies:

· Strong initiative and great comfort working in unstructured environments;

· Experience in project management with team members from matrix organization.

· Deep understanding of value creation in energy power assets and markets in the region;

· Experience in decarbonization – generation, storage, transportation and supply of H2, NH3, GT & boiler co-firing technology, etc.

• Take charge of the Accounts Receivable procedure, dealing with outstanding accounts.
• Manage employee claims and manage the cash book.
• Oversee ISO management and handle internal and external audit concerns.
