Retail Area Manager
The Retail Area Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the performance of multiple retail stores within a designated area. This includes ensuring that each store meets or exceeds sales targets, provides exceptional customer service, and maintains high operational standards.
This role reports to the Assistant Operations Director.
Responsibilities:
· Train and supervise Retail Supervisors and Associates within the area.
· Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to ensure continuous improvement.
· Set and monitor sales targets for each store, taking into account local market conditions and trends.
· Ensure that each store delivers exceptional customer service, creating a positive and memorable shopping experience.
· Address customer inquiries and resolve any escalated issues.
· Perform periodic audit on retail operations to ensure compliance with company polices.
· Identify areas for improvement and maintain operational excellence.
· Determine if the store layout optimizes customer flow and navigation.
· Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
· Ensure that stores are visually appealing, with displays and layouts that enhance the customer experience and highlight featured products.
· Ensure that stores adhere to all legal and safety guidelines, including health and safety regulations, and maintain compliance with company policies.
· Monitor sales and key metric performance across various outlets within the designated area of responsibility and provide regular updates to Assistant Operations Director
· Analyze sales reports and provide insights into the factors driving fluctuations in sales, where possible
· Identify potential growth opportunities and make recommendations for new store locations or expansions
Requirements:
· Minimum Diploma with 5 years of experience in the retail industry, including at least 2 years in a similar managerial role.
· Demonstrated operational excellence and a customer-service-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving goals.
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
· Exemplary leadership traits, including empathy, understanding, and the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
· Proficiency in resolving conflicts amicably.
